Now you have to make a trip to Kalbarri so you can do sandboarding in the sand dunes (soooo much fun) and you can kayak and abseil in the gorges too! Perth is a lovely city. We basically started there and made our way up to Broom stopping in every place (except MOnkey MIa, but i hear it's lovely there to see the dolphins). So basically, you're gonna love it on the west coast, Michelle and i had a cracking time there xxx |

| 9th February 2009 Dad n Kel | Cyclone in Cairns - boo hoo - From: OKAY NOW THE FUN HAS REALLY STARTED!!! Sorry to hear this morning that you're caught up in a cyclone - bet that blue waterproof's come in handy... bit earlier than we all expected though thought you'd at least make it to NZ first!! Don't worry about the skydiving or w.w.rafting as you will be able to do them and more in NZ, adrenaline capital of the world! You will also be able to fly back to Cairns/Whitsundays from Sydney on internal flight - I did it when there and it was cheap cheap - perhaps you could do it with Brooke/Jack/Lee at a later date... What with Jack caught up in the Melbourne wildfires - you really are 2 peas in a pod! Hopefully you will be able to resume Contiki on Thursday and get in the last 8 days or so of the itinerary. I hope so honey and make sure you remember to pack everything this time before you move on, otherwise you'll have no bloody clothes left, ha ha.... be safe now, Dad n Kel x |

| 7th February 2009 Dad n Kel | Tips for Queensland! - From: Leaving on a jet plane...again..hahaha Biz, biz, biz - no wonder you've had little sleep. You can't know whether you're on your head or your ass!!! Go girl...you'll love ww.rafting (it's hard work but fun) and scuba (easy to wander underwater, so do stay close to your buddy). You asked for tips places I've been soooo... prom in Cairns is buzzing of an eve but keep your wits about you, this is where I got in a bit of trouble with drunk abos. In Port Douglas, on the main drag, there's a great bar that does Cane Toad Racing every night - you put bets on the toads, just hilarious - can't miss the bar it's a corrugated iron shack! Also if you have free time consider a Harley day - I had a blast on the back of a Fatboy with a great guy named Chief!!! NB: don't go in the sea from the beach (box jellyfish) and if you spot an alli/croc zig-zag like made at speed along the sand!! tee hee. Anyway, have fffuuuuuunnnnnnn honey, PK and the Kelster xxxx |
