Some stuff is better back home whether that is due to what we are used to, or the general cheapness of food here which means they shortcut the spices sometimes. The samosas to say the least are better back home. But we have had some nice curries and maybe the south will wow us. |

| 27th August 2004 Mum | WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE UK - From: 10% I cannot understand why anyone would wish to go off to places with uncertain "arrangements" particularly in view of the likelihood of rapid rushes to same. Bear in mind that the chain came off at my first pull in Istanubul and that's not quite so far away). As my BB I shall not have a quite moment until your return. But I've embarrassed you enough already. I hope you both have a "journey of a lifetime" and don't lose anything, unlike others we know of. Please don't bring me anything back of a copper or brass nature as I can't keep up with what I've already got. All I want is both of you back safe and sound. And what IS wrong with the UK? Wonderful, photographically superb places to visit and most people speak Hackney English (Arse-nul,Isli-un and "airy" not to mention bo-ul that your uncle frequently mentions).
