Hello everybody, We are just about to finish our second week of volunteering at the Green Gecko. It can be tiring and overwhelming but all in all, it is going great and I already feel sad when I think that it will all be over in a week. Time flies and we are getting attached very fast. The Green Gecko was founded in 2005 by Tania and Rem. Tania was traveling in Cambodia and met Rem who is now her husband. Together, they decided to set up a center for street kids in order to provide them with food, shelter, education [View Full Entry]

I got up at 4am to see this. It was mind blowing...

Not much I can write about the temple that you would not be able to find by yourself, and most likely much better written. It was our second visit to the temples so we got to see a few we missed last time. The downside is that the area is now getting geared towards mass tourism, which takes a little away from the experience. But all in all, it is still one of the most amazing place I [View Full Entry]

Hello, A few shots of our stay in Saigon. What did we do there? hmmmm, not much. It was the few final days of your Vietnam trip and that whole month just flew by. We spent our days going from one terrasse to another, eating good food, drinking the last good coffee until we make it back to Vietnam. Vietnam was great, Vietnam was superb, we will go back! Hello everybody, This our last day in Korea, time flies, we've been very busy somehow. The main reason we decided to go to Korea in the first place was because Tara's sister Mikhel (her picture is on the Hawaii blog) was adopted from Korea, and Tra wanted to retrace the footsteps of her sister. So we first headed to Daegu (South East of the country) where we knew she was left on the doorstep of an orphanage. We knew the the orginal building was gone but we had the location and headed there. It is now the location of a large [View Full Entry]

Hello Everybody, We have been very busy in Japan and I did not sit in front of a computer a single time. So here we are in Korea, in a guesthouse with internet access. First of all: Japan was just unbelievable! What a great place! We left it two days ago and I already miss it. The people were kind, friendly and VERY helpful! We arrived at the Tokyo airport late afternoon and took a train to the center of the city, then switched to another train to get to Ikebukuro, where we stayed in a little guesthouse. Our neighborhood was [View Full Entry]
