patience - From: The Decay Of Delays
Learning patience is the hardest thing and with experiences like yours, you should be a saint by the end of this trip. I think it was easier to go via the Pacific Rim. At least you got close to the big man, maybe he could throw you a bone! Stay away from sodas they aren't good for you. Keep dreaming of those beaches and and all that walks there. Remember clothing is optional in Spain.

Chiang-where? - From: Chiang Mai Aye!
Dearest Nephew, Sometimes you learn the darndest things when you travel, and you don't even know the lesson you've learned until many months after your return. Hang in there and take it a minute at a time. The good things will seem 1000 times better when you return, and the bad won't be as bad (kinda like birthin' a baby) and will even add to the adventure stories. I promise. You have the rest of your life to travel in different ways, and with many other people. I love you and am truly envious. Mosquitos, bus rides, and all. Auntie Jackie

Malaria will be like a piece of cake! :D - From: Space-A And Flying With The Military
Hi Chris!! Tis I, Gwen. I'm assuming that you made it on the flight....in which case I want you to know that I'll be thinking of you (if I were religious, praying for you yada yada you know), and I look forward to the stories you will have to tell when you return tremendously. I know it's not like we see each other all that often anyways, but I will miss you. Be safe, don't get sick, and write in your journal every two seconds. Oh, and take pictures, too. I demand pictures when you get back. Miss you and love you, Gwen
