I wrote on my travels with Dad Bud Brother Daniel and myself Brother Chris... January is literally just hours around the corner and a new trip awaits us. Yet on this trip we find ourselves without an amazing tour guide without a conservative spender without a global historian and most of all without a father to guide us along the way. And for your future friends from all over the world you are sure to meet there. Especially if yoursquore traveling with my dad. Which you probably wonrsquot be. Still just go. Trust me. Go. Now. I reached the bay area about a week ago and have put this off day after d http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Indonesia/Bali/Kuta/blog-125708.html Singapore Twice Over My apologies for not updating my blog in the past week or sohellip Irsquove had the most amazing time in Bali an experience Irsquom not soon to forget and one Irsquod repeat over and over if I could. I will however backtrack and hold off on detailing my experiences in Bali and first describe my lsquointerestingrsquo experience in Singapore. I figure Irsquoll start with the trip fr http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Singapore/Changi/blog-121992.html Quick Update No flights from Singapore This isn't a blog about my travels but moreso an update to friends and family. We flew from Chang Mai to Singapore thinking that our vacation was near over. Upon arriving we called the Singapore Military base and found that no flights are leaving for at least another week. The entire base is closed. Therefore we're stuck here... And so we've decided to take a 2 hr. flight to Bali Indonesia. No c http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Singapore/Geylang/blog-120238.html Chiang Mai The classiest city in Thailand... So I have mood swings. No surprise to anyone that knows me... Add on cold showers a break out and humid weather... and you'll have yourself mood bungiejumps... Up and down in a matter of minutes. After spending a few days in Chang Mai it's safe to say that I've fallen in love with the national treasure of Thailand... I stand by the statement that parts resemble a miniBangkok but this compari http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Thailand/North-West-Thailand/Chiang-Mai/blog-119916.html Chiang Mai Aye We arrived in Chiang Mai after a truly agonizing 12 hr. bus trip which adds to a cumulative 24hrs. of travel via bus in the past 3 days... No fun. As expected we're coming to our wit's end's at certain points... Yesterday while attempting to find a spot on the many cramped buses at a public station Dad blew up at me for leaving to use the bathroom and not letting anyone know. Christopher you http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Thailand/North-West-Thailand/Chiang-Mai/blog-118415.html Probably The Most Beautiful Place On Earth... In continuation with the last blog on Phi Phi...Part Two Rai Lei Probably The Most Beautiful Place On Earth.I was sad to say goodbye to Phi Phi... And the massive partyscene But our time is limited and we'd met a girl that spoke so highly of Rai Lei that we knew a visit was in order. So we got on another boat for another two hour journey... Once again it poured rain throughout the journey. An http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Thailand/South-West-Thailand/Railay/blog-118024.html Party at Phi Phi... Firstly my apologies to those who looked for a blog in the past few days and didn't find one... My time is already stretched thin with the many locations I've been able to visit. Within each island or town are about a hundred activities I'd love to be a part of... I'm writing from Bangkok having spent a few days exploring the islands of Kho Phi Phi and the beautifulexoticwonderfulgreenand a http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Thailand/South-West-Thailand/Ko-Phi-Phi/blog-118002.html Phuket For A Day... I'm sweating buckets... I just got off a rather large boat and am now safely upon Phi Phi Island... I figured I'd log a journal on Phuket before attempting to write about this new and very different island... Dad has managed to embarrass me around 439 times so far on this trip... From trying to find me a bride yea cause that works... to attempting to reduce a set price that a seller and I had a http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Thailand/South-West-Thailand/Phuket/blog-116689.html Singapore Sites We boarded a dc8 with about a dozen other flyers and shot off into the sky... Mom I'm telling you for once dad was not bloating the truth... This charted flight is simply put better than anything you could ask for in economy commercial airfare. And they feed the living daylights out of you... We recieved two full meals candy bars a sandwich snack chocolate cake cookies and an assortment http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Singapore/blog-116134.html Yokota AF Base I'm writing from Yokota AF Base... We're hoping to catch a small chartered jet to Singapore in a couple hours... In the meantime I thought I'd try and upload a few photos... Mom tell people about this... Though I love you it's a bit much to be putting this online without anyone viewing it.. Ah maybe they will come when the sites get more interesting... Anyone with access to a military base shou http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Japan/Chiba/Narita/blog-115946.html Yo Yokota That lovehate relationship I was speaking about Well I just bought SpaceA a diamond ring and asked it to marry me forever... We arrived at Travis AF Base at around 9AM and a thick fog greated us... I was a little worried about this at first but my nerves were settled when 1. I heard that this would not affect any flights and 2. the airport itself was dead... We knew pretty much off the bat http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Japan/Chiba/Narita/blog-115796.html Delayed Till Tomorrow Ah SpaceA... What a lovehate relationship ... We've been delayed till tomorrow but are pretty sure we'll get a flight to Yokota Japan... From there we'll head into the Tokyo area for a day or so then it's off to Singapore. There is talk amongst my brother and I of Tokyo Disneyland specifically Disney Sea... Yes that'd be the Chris thing to do... A couple days in a beautiful foreign land a http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/California/blog-115450.html SpaceA And Flying With The Military The main problem with SpaceA check out my last entry if you don't know what that is and travel is that one never quite knows when heshe will leave where heshe might eventually end up and how long it might take to catch a flight out of that reached destination if things aren't too pleasurable... It all has to do with how many seats are empty on the cargo plane after the activeduty recruits http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/California/blog-114897.html Hollywood To Hayward First Step to Asia... I'm nothing like my dad. My brother is in fact they'd be twins if 50 years and a fatherson relationship didn't separate them... I suppose I'm a bit more like my mother. We have some major similarities especially when it comes to travel... For example we both enjoy showering. If it's possible. And... hummm... We both will spend an extra dollar on lodging if it includes AC.... We both tend to http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/California/blog-113448.html
