My name is Chris. I am 18 years old and live in Cambridge. I have a friend called Grace and we are going around the whole world. I was very excited about this but now I am more scared, like this; AAAAAAAAARRRGGGGHHHHHHH!!!! I have set up this blog thing with no help from Grace because I am the organised one. I am also the courageous, good-looking one but more of that later. Anyway, without further ado, I present to you our Travel Blog, which I have wittily named CHRIS AND GRACE'S TRAVEL BLOG THINGY!

Hidy ho blogger buddies, So, my time in Mcleod has come to an end. Over the last month I have been continuing to teach classes at Tibet Charity. I was very sad to leave as I got really attatched to the students and absolutely love teaching. It's a bit of a power trip once you're used to it! The students are so sweet and appreciative of the teachers. Maartje and I talked about how the tibetans are really too sweet for this world. Around teaching I have been mostly chilling in various ways. I have been really lucky to have been in Mcleod for both the Dalai Lama's and the Karmapa's birthdays. (The Karmapa is the third most highly regarded Lama in Tibetan buddhism, behind the Dalai Lama and the Panchen Lama (who I mentioned last ... read more

Tashi delek blogger buddies! (and Grace, who doesn't like the term "blogger buddy") I have been in Mcleod Ganj for three and a half weeks now. I have drunken 657 cups of chai, 1 cup of butter tea, which was not good, 23 cups of lemon, honey and ginger tea, which is super and 13 cups of green tea, which is better than butter tea but worse than lemon/honey/ginger tea. So, to summarise- chai good, butter tea bad. Mcleod Ganj is a hustley bustley hill station in the himalayan foothills. The scenery is pretty special, towering mountain ranges on one side, sprawling valleys on the other. The town is notable for two reasons. Firstly it is the centre of the tibetan government in exile, home to the Dalai Lama and a large community of tibetans. ... read more

ello everybody! (none of that cheesey 'blogger buddies' crap when i'm in charge, haha!) it's grace writing this one, as you can probably tell due to the improvement in style, spelling, grammar etc. i haven't written many of these actually....mainly because i'm too lazy, but as this is going to be the last blog entry while i'm around, i thought it would be appropriate. so yes, tomorrow evening i'll be back in the cultural hub that is Ely, craziness! It's weird because even though this destination is the closest we've been to home since we left england, it definitely feels like we're the furthest from home we've ever been. Anyhow, enough of this, let's bring you up to date on our adventures! On the night of the 19th we arrived at Delhi airport, and everything since ... read more

Dirty, dangerous, down-trodden, delicious, delightful, ductile, dinosaur, duck, drive, dish. Some of these are words that could be used to describe Bangkok. Others are just words beginning with D. Bangkok is an incredible place. Everywhere you look their is filth, rubbish and dogs with rabies but all that is starkly contrasted with glittering golden buildings that rise above the smog. We liked it so much that we decided to come back for a few more days after having visited it at the start of our time in Thailand. In between stays in Bangkok we were checking out some of those famous thai beaches on the islands. The best way to describe our stay in Thailand is that it was kind of like a sandwich, with Bangkok as the bread and beaches as the middle bit. Koh ... read more

Asia now blogger buddies! Singapore is a hustley bustley kinda town. Very clean, very clean. Lots of lights, lots of cameras, lots of action. Stayed in a cool little hostel in little India. Apparently voted the best hostel in Asia by lonely planet. That might be going a bit far. Best things we did were, eating lots of cheapy yummy asian food, checking out the botanic gardens and finding a spot up on Mt Faber, overlooking the whole place lit up at night. LOL (lots of love) Chris and Grace xxxxxxxxxx... read more

Just a brief stopover in Sydney, enough to see the main sights. Opera house, harbour bridge, Bondi Beach and the like. Probably our favourite city we've been to. Everything is beautiful and well kept, loads of attention to detail on everything. Oh yeah, and we caught up with some old friends from back home! (see pictures!) Love and peace, Chris and Grace xxxxxxxx... read more

So without further ado, more piccies... Love Chris and Grace xxxxxx... read more

Happy Easter blogger buddies!!! We are now in new zealand's capital wellington, will have a look around in a bit but are not doing too much today because the last few days have been pretty extreme to the wicked max.. We have hiked through the tongariro national park (home to mount doom!) been white water rafting down a grade five river (chris) and riding horses through some of the most beautiful countryside you will ever see (grace). Also, we went skydiving!! One of the most incredible experiences, it's all a bit bizarre and difficult to describe really. Was a perfect day for it, no clouds over our jump zone. We did it over lake taupo, the largest lake in NZ, and with mount doom on the horizon. Here's more piccies. Love chris and grace xxxxxxxx p.s ... read more

Greetings blogger buddies from the islands of fiji, home to white sandy beaches and crystal blue seas. Well actually we are in new zealand now, but we were there for the last week. Spent a couple of days on the main island but then took the ferry out to some of the remote, northen islands. Here we chilled, basically. Lots of snorkelling, hammocking and other forms of lying in the sun. Was amazing, absolutely stunning scenery and brilliant people, both the fijians and the other travellers. Here are some more piccies to feed your insatiable piccie appetites. love love xxxxxxxxxx P.s, if you don't comment you are a five star loser.... read more
