They let us get really close to them close enough we could reach out and touch them. I got up at 7 am to catch a boat going out to the first island of the day the island had so many Blue Footed Boobies and tons of Sea Lions. And many other huge birds. All the animals had no fear of us they let me get close enough to I could reach out and touch them. Its amazing here. The animals let you get so close you have to watch your step or you'll trip on a sea lion or a giant lizard or sometimes a blue footed booby. Two of use took 2 hole days just to patch all the holes in the walls then one more day to prime. The painting took about a week to complete. Its was the hardest hike I have ever done. We started off 49 kilometres and 4 mountains away from the Inca capital city. The first mountain we climbed was 1200 metres high and there were many more after that. I was in a group of 18 people 3 guides and 15 porters the porters were amazing. Well yesterday I went white water rafting in the deepest canyon on earth its was pretty good. It was class 2 3 and 4 rappids. Today I went out on the town and saw the famouse Arequipa Ice Mummy The Ice Mummy was a sacrifice by the inca over 500 years ago. Later today I will be jumping into a Dun Buggy and heading up on of the 1000 foot sand duns that surrounds the city. We will be heading for the top and when we get there we will be handed a sand board. Its like a snowboard but a liitle smaller. We will be Snowboarding down a 1000 foot sand dune.
