Amazing! - From: Finally.. in Cape Town!
I can't believe you've travelled so far and for so long, and alone most of the time. I told KC that I enjoy reading your blog because it's something I will never do. So I can only experience it vicariously via your blog. And oooh, those tears...that I think I can empathise. Take care!

congratulations!!!! - From: Finally.. in Cape Town!
You have finally made it! We are proud of your achievement, I don't think I can do that, but I am sure I can do it at a much shorter time than you did, kekeke. 3 months, time really flies. Be careful in SA, that may be the most dangerous place in your entire journey. Unlike the other ulu places you have visited, where people are more simple in their lives. Cape Town is like New York in the past, or the present Shenzhen, people are hungry yet they have no other avenues but to do vices to achieve what they want. On the homepage, its really amazing to see that red region you had travelled on the African continent, crossed the Tropic of Cancer, crossed the Equator and crossed the Tropic of Capricorn... very well said. BRAVO! OK, see you soon. Do be extra careful.

Aims and Results - From: Photos for Ngorongoro Crater
Bro, just my personal opinion. You said that you embarked on this trip in the backpacker's way so that you can go out hitting the ground and be one with the locals. However, your pictures show the touristy photographs. Feels like I am looking at typical shots taken by a tourist, not an adventurer. Maybe you chose to convey that through your posts? But it would be nice to see a different side of your journey instead of just reading about it. Dun "niao" me hor! I only share my feelings with you mah! Heh heh... And also, you named one of your photopgraphs as "Close up of lioness" (http://www.travelblog.org/Africa/Tanzania/Ngorongoro-Crater/blog-165458-21.html) First, there were two of them but secondly and more importantly, I don't think lionesses have spots... :/

Sounds like.... Phuket - From: 2 Days of Diving at Zanzibar (Photos uploaded!)
Nice nice nice...! The plantation tour, the dives, etc! Sounds like fun... but in a way also sounds like Phuket. Join the Siam Safari, ride elephant, ride ox cart, go canoeing, see rubber tappingm see fruit trees. Somehow, the ang mohs always like mountain tortoise never see before even though there are a lot of orchard homestays in Australia that even have the mysterious miracle fruit. You very studious. Go diving still bring dive chart. Really is not forget your engineering background. Tried drift diving once in Phuket with strong currents and it feels like you are using DPV. Shiokz! But must have good control but won't be able to make superman pose lah. Funny thing is that you will see the fish also fight against the current and bob up and down with the waves/current (relative to the rocks). Wonder if they get motion sickness... ...

Good point - From: Mombasa - Gateway to Africa
I'm not entirely sure, but I have heard of some africans who ended up in india during those times, but I'm sure also that the amounts of people who came to kenya and the ones who went from kenya to india are disproportionate...it could also be, like you said, because of the goods and stuff...so I'm not really sure...anywayz, look forward to the next entry

Thank you - From: Mombasa - Gateway to Africa
Hi Tim, thank you for your comment and for providing the answer. I guess the question that i'm asking now would be why didn't kenyans go over to India as well? A friend said that this is the same reason as why the malays from Singapore did not go to china/india.. maybe the british only allowed singular direction.. or the ships on the voyage back are filled with precious goods from Africa / Southeast Asia for trade..

Great read - From: Mombasa - Gateway to Africa
It's interesting to read a perspective on my country from a different person...to answer the question you asked earlier in this blog about the indians, the reason why they were brought to kenya was to build a railway that would connect uganda to kenya during colonial times by the british...good luck on your travels and I'll look forward to reading your next entry

Woot! I think the kids that you met on the train ride who has red flowers very creative leh! they dared to be different! They are trying new method of marketing! FOREIGN TALENT!!! Singapore would need them! Then again, they might just be normal uncorrupted village kids. I tried to think about your singular direction question and... hey! It inspried me to uncover such great mysteries like: (1) How come the europeans followed the Spanish (i.e. Columbus) lead to migrate/move to the New World but not the other way round? Would have been nice to meet Iron Rod (son of Sitting Bull) in Paris, don't you think? How come the Chinese move from China to SE Asia but not the Malays from Malaysia/Indonesia? Hmmm... perhaps having come from Indon yourself, you can may know the answer to that? ;-)
