ChinaVolunteer

Greetings from China! Welcome to our Volunteer Teaching Program in Yantai!

We would like to introduce that Sinoteach is an international network and focal point that encourages cultural awareness and understanding through experiential living immersion, language teaching and volunteering experience, and we focus on placement of international volunteers who are native speakers of English to teach English at our affiliate schools in local communities in need throughout the City of Yantai, China. Our Volunteer Teaching Program is designed to promote volunteerism by offering quality English education to the Chinese schools and students through international volunteers’ efforts and endeavors in China.

Sinoteach is an institution through affiliation of volunteers, by volunteers and for volunteers with a mission to enhancing the intercultural exchange between the Chinese schools and the rest of the world. We work through our international partner organization-Global Volunteer Network(GVN) to mobilize and recruit volunteer teachers globally to achieve our mission in the educational field. Our core value is to make a difference by helping and assisting Chinese younger generation and students to become bilingual through education by international volunteer teachers. We cherish each volunteer is one seed of hope for a harmonious and promising tomorrow, as Volunteer Teachers are candles, burning themselves while illuminating others.

Sinoteach facilitates the program in Yantai City, Shandong Province, by maintaining its cooperative affiliate offices at various school campuses throughout the city for running the Program in the field. We have the teaching positions available for both short-term and long-term placement all year round when the school terms are open.

As this is a teaching and volunteering program, you can not expect too much financial gains from the program, however you do benefit from living with the local Chinese community, immersion with the Chinese culture by visiting the relics and heritage as well as befriending the local people. The people here in Shandong Province, the hometown of Confucius and the birthplace of Confucianism, are especially hospitable, friendly, kindhearted and easygoing
as well as show great respect to international volunteers and teachers. Confucius said: “To have friends come from afar, isn’t it a great pleasure?” This motto has been going far for over 2500 years in China and globally.

We are looking forward to meeting you soon in Yantai, China in the near future. Wish you all the best for a wonderful and unique volunteering program in China.
