As usual we were at the airport far too early for our flight. So after about 4 hours and a safe passage through security we were soon on our 1st plane, a journey of 12 hours to Chile. Went surprisingly quickly even after Katy telling Greg in detail how she had dreamt we would die on the plane!!! Rolled off the ferry into the wind and rain that was Welligton. Headed straight for a campsite surrounded by ducks having to battle for space in the kitchen as it was swamped with kids! Next day with even more wind and rain headed back to Wellington 1stly as it was dryand 2ndly it was free we went to Wellington museum, whh actally turned out to be alright s far as museums go! After 2 1/2 months in Oz we were both happy and ready to move on..time for a change. As pro-freebie finders we spotted some free internet yay!! And did some facebook whore-ing. Whilst reading his emails Greg looked over his shoulder to see a small pack of Indian children staring and reading the emails too..Grrreat. Nevermind only 2 hours left in Oz we could deal with it.. Hey guys..... Ok so we only just updated our last blog and we know that it took ages to do that one! After bidding farewell to our three days of luxury at Lisa's and our $106 food shop (Greg had his first near miss driving the wrong way down the street) we headed in the direction of Kalgoorlie. Lisa very helpfully gave us her map and step by step instructions to get out of Perth, predictably Katy dropped them straight out of the open window, good job Lisa had go to know us and had highlighted the map as a Plan B. For breakfast we had our first fast food in 6 weeks! Wolfing down a burger king at 10am was not the best idea. True to form on arriving at his plane seat Greg found it to be the only one with a sticker saying "Broken" Wishing for an upgrade we settled for new seats with loads of legroom. AFter our 16 hour fun bus journey we were back in Bangkok for the 3rd time! Yay! As we had been away from home for 5 weeks we decided to have "English Night" which obviously would consist of beer, football and curry. It soon became apparant we had chosen the wrong day as we had never seen Khao San so quiet and all the beer was locked away!! But the curry was awesome and we felt the right team won the cup.. Boarding our ferry, walking in front of coaches, with our new friends from Canada and Sweden. Destroying 6 bags of crisps that were gross (sesame, chilli squid, seaweed and chicken nugget flavour - as there is no salt n vinegar anywhere. Boat ride turned into a seasaw ride as the sea was really rough although this seemed to only aid Katy in her napping. Quick bus journey to the training, enjoyed some street vendor food -yay. After arriving on our boat to the Island we soon realised we weren't at the port Greg had planned on. This resulted in a 200b taxi ride along the coast to where were supposed to be staying. Wondering if we were going to have to get out and push our taxi, as the 'hill's were nothing like we'd ever seen before, pretty much vertical inclines... Leaving the paradise Island that was Phi Phi, we were thrown straight back into the travelling saddle, 3 boats, 2 taxi's, 3 buses (one of which was made for midgets -even Katy had issues, Greg loving his new knee earrings) via Krabi, which incidentally was very pretty. We arrived at Koh Samui 13 hours later.... Our hotel -Samui Beach Resort, had no idea who we were but they kindly set us up for the night.
