A friend emailed me with the new name and said the authorities couldnrsquot catch him so maybe I should give it a try. Yes Irsquom still waiting on my police clearance and it is now beyond a joke. Surely real criminals wouldnrsquot have this much of a problem. John was working down at Marble Bar 2 hours awa http://www.travelblog.org/Oceania/Australia/Western-Australia/Port-Hedland/blog-87058.html More adventures The dogs are settling in very well in their new red dirt surrounds. Cobyrsquos cream coat now has a hue of red to it. After the break in the dogs add a bit of security to the house. I have had a job offer to work in the Post Office but before starting I have to have a medical and a Police clearance. The medical is organized for tomorrow and I visited the Police station last week. Easy proce http://www.travelblog.org/Oceania/Australia/Western-Australia/Port-Hedland/blog-76889.html Northern Exposure Well my first reaction while flying over the Port Hedland airport was where we are going to land exactly. Irsquom a true believer things happen for a reason and this is very true that I needed to go on holidays to Mexico with Geri before contemplating this adventure to the Wild West. Strangely it reminds me of certain parts of Mexico but the only difference is Irsquom not struggling with the http://www.travelblog.org/Oceania/Australia/Western-Australia/Port-Hedland/blog-74269.html Ballarat's Last Gasp Carol's last week in Ballarat before she set off for the Big Red Dirt is a long long story she twas slightly disorientated as evidenced by the photo http://www.travelblog.org/Oceania/Australia/Victoria/Ballarat/blog-72272.html sun drenched Just a short note to say we are both wrecked from the sun sand snorkelling pyramids pool dolphins fish coral sangria cenotes underground pools of crystal clear water cervesas pina coladas and spanish. Well we are in Mexico and are definitely doing as they do. We eat Mexican food have a siesta in the afternoon say maana a lot we will do it tomorrow and have now been to a Mexican hairdresser. All I can say about the last experience is they do it differently here. We dont quite look the same as when we left Australia. Maybe somethi http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/Mexico/Oaxaca/Oaxaca/blog-53747.html Carol's Evil twin.................. We had our first mexican cooking lesson yesterday after going to the market with our Spanish shopping list. Waiting to see what they produced was very entertaining. It was interesting learning to cook with the teacher speaking Spanish it was all put into context when the action was put with the word. Eating our creation was the best part of the lesson. Muy bien. After cooking we headed off http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/Mexico/Oaxaca/Oaxaca/blog-52651.html Security breach at Mexico City Sorry that we havent had an entry on the blog site for a while. Mexico City was great not what I expected at all. I imagined the population of Australia put into one city and that was a scary thought. It is just like Melbourne but older but it goes on forever and forever. Saw all the sites and toured around on a double decker bus with a bunch of school kids. I thought the highlight was a F http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/Mexico/Oaxaca/Oaxaca/blog-52154.html Cowboys and Pancho It feels like weve been in the wild wild west since we arrived in Creel. The landscape is dry and dusty broken by pine forests cool air and strange rock formations. Many of the Tarahumara Indians still reside in the surrounding caves. They have a restaurant here called the Hospital for hanovers Checked it out and exited very quickly upon viewing hungry workers hoeing into a special breakfast so http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/Mexico/Chihuahua/blog-50406.html Time zones Geri and myself have been totally confused now for the last couple of days. First of all we were travelling from Chihuahua down south to Zacatecas which was to take 10 to 12 hours by bus. Pretty good ride we thought because we managed to get some sleep and there was plenty of seats to relax. The bus driver was well aware that I didnt speak a great deal of Spanish when we stopped at some point I http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/Mexico/Zacatecas/blog-50399.html ChihuahuaMexico Well I have made it through 2 weeks and am having a great time. The train ride up through the Copper Canyon was absolutely wonderful. The scenery and the views were magnificent. Even though Im scared of heights I was leaning out the door of the carriage taking the photos. I know Im very brave. Had some very different food last night.....different in the sense it was pretty ordinary. We we http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/Mexico/Chihuahua/blog-49875.html The turtle From the photo I now have a new nick name.....Leonardo one of the ninya turtles. For the seven weeks I have all my worldly belongings straped to my back. One good thing about this is it feels soooo good when you take the pack of your back. An instant weight loss of 1015kgs. One of the things on this trip that has amazed me is the little things you start to appreciate ........the day you get http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/Mexico/Baja-California-Sur/La-Paz/blog-48383.html Comida and Bebida Hola to all you comedians and thanks for the messages A special hello to Greta We really enjoyed your aussie humour especially because it is in English.
