Traveling has always been a big part of my life. As a child, my parents advocated family trips as holiday celebrations, rather than extensive gift-exchanging.
As for individual adventures, I began traveling on my own in 2001, touring through France and Germany as a violinist with the Blue Lake Symphony International Youth Orchestra. Since then I've been back to Europe on several occasions both alone and with my family. In 2003, I completed another tour with the Long Island Youth Orhcestra along the North America Pacific coast: Alaska, British Columbia, Seattle, San Francisco, etc.
Following graduation from highschool, I found summer internships first in Zurich, Switzerland, and then in Shanghai, China. On both occasions, I had the wonderful opportunity to live alone. The path to independence has been far from smooth, but it's been a great ride so far. My experiences abroad have been astoundingly eye-opening, and I hope to continue my travels, despite my position as a neverendingly poor college student.
