Sorry this isn't as invigorating as our New York blog a couple summers ago; Karl's got me running all over, so I've barely had time to put these together, let alone put any thought into them! I hope you don't feel like you're reading high schoolers' work! After pizza at that goofy bar on Friday night, we decided to test our youth. We left the bar at 8:30 and wandered over to The Overlook, where you can bath in multiple hot springs. It sounds much cooler than it was... let me explain. Rebecca had suggested visiting a hot spring, warning us that you can either sit in a real, natural spring, or in a hot-tub with spring water pumped into it. We did the cheese samples, as always, ran through the Lego land ... read more

Pittsburgh to Minnesota... for the dozenth time. The Drive Here we are again, sitting on Karl's parents' couch watching Futurama in pajamas. In between Karl's hereditary channel flipping, that is. Deja vu. The trip in was as it always is, with a couple interesting add-ons. Instead of driving the 18 hrs straight through, we motelled in Rockford. Maybe we're getting old. Either way, this allowed us the energy to stop in St. Paul and visit Todd, Rebecca, and Bethany on our way up Nort (as the Fins say). They seem wonderful. Bethany was full of tea parties, vigorous dancing, and a mini tantrum or two. She and Karl enjoyed a few semi-uncle-airplane-rides. We got a taste of seminary life--literally--when the Asper's neighbors cooked supper for a group of us. Todd was off to class at ... read more
