Fraser Island is the largest Sand Island in the world and so the only way to get around it is by 4WD. Today we headed to Australia Zoo, getting the free courtesy coach at 8.30am, so it was an early(ish) morning. On board we watched like a tribute video to Steve Irwin which kind of makes you appreciate just how much of a legend he was! It's weird that someone could love animals so much to devote their whole life to them, especially just one animal in particular, and of all the animals to choose a crocodile is a weird choice! OK, Im craming a few things into this entry. On the 6th (Thursday Night) was the last time we were all together, being our Last Night in Brisbane and Adam and Matt going NZ. We had to be upa round 6am the next day so it wasnt the best idea to have a late one, but these things cant be helped. Yesterday (the 4th) the weather was the nicest its been yet, so we got lunch and went to the STreets beach to make the most of it. Today we got up and left TinBillys Hostel because we quit our jobs there and didnt want to stay any longer, and moved to Palace Central. They'd messed up our room, so we're staying in a three bed room now, that's Me, Becky and some random girl, for the same price as the 8 bed dorm, so it worked out ok. We rang the Bar and asked for more hours this morning but it's not going to happen, and we're not realyl willing to stay in Brisbane for another week, spending money just to do 7 hours worth of work, [View Full Entry]

Well, it was the weekend and time to party ..woop! Saturday day we got up and went shopping around Brisbane. Becks was on a mission to buy some heels for our big night out (Flip Flops are a no go!) so we searched around various shops for some shoes. We managed to get some about 3 hours and $160 later! Ouch! Lol. She just couldnt resist! I tried to stop her but it wasn't going ot happen so I just let her get them in the end! This weeks been a difficult one, with working so muh, and having little time to do anything else. Working in Pinkenba is a right pain in the backside, simplty because we start at 11 but need to get the train there at 10, and so are up at about 8.30 am every morning. Then they usually let us go at 2 because it's dead at that point, and by the time we got home its around 3. On Saturday, it was absolutely scorching! We decided to make the most of it and go to the Streets Beach at south bank: "There's not many cities you can strip down to your bikini in the middle of! Make the most of Brisbane's glorious sunshine by heading over to Southbank. You can sunbathe on the sand by the lagoon or on one of the expansive grass lawns. When the sun starts to bite, cool off in one of the three interconnecting lagoons. Saturday we were all hungover and got up late. Then me and Becks went jogging around the botanical gardens for abit and then went out on the night into the Valley. It was good going to a real australian club instead of a backpacker bar! Today we woke up early so we could surprise Miko for his birthday, which meant basically we ran in his dorm and threw party poppers all over and him and was like woooo! Much to the annoyment of the other people in the dorm may I add! After breakfast etc, we got the Bus to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, where we spent the whole day, and it was such a good day out.
