So today we stayed in Townsville so we could go the game tonight. Our Hostel is reeeeally cheap .. $18 for the night, with breakfast and dinner included. Cant Complain! We only got to Townsville for like 2 after getting the ferry, and mooched around for a little while and got lunch. We got ready for the game later on and then went to get our free food, which turned out to be sausage rolls and chips. Nice Nutricious Meal! Thursday was the final day of my Dive Course. We headed out into the ocean once again, though today the conditions were much better, thank god. I mentioned yesterday that I didnt see ANY Coral so my Dive instructor Pete thought it would be funny to then point out every bit of coral we saw and even right in the sand LOOK CORAL! Funny Guy. Lol. Firstly...Not Impressed after Just trying to upload my pics from DVD onto here from The Whitsundays which took me around 40 Mins and then Failed. So instead ..when I send the CD Home (Mum first this time, then Dad) I need you to upload the pics onto the blog for me because the computers here are dodgy. And I want them on! The Whitsundays were most definitely the best thing Ive done since being out here. Our boat was awesome, and we were with a really good mix of people. I've fell a little behind on my blogging of late, so wont go into too much detail, but basically, Summertime is definietly the best boat there is to go on, and it's the highlight of my trip thus far. OK so we got to Airlie Beach (the gateway to the Whitsundays) last night at around 6.30pm. We had started the journey at 9.30am, so it was the longest leg up the coast so far. We nealy missed the bus because we set our alarms wrong, and was like 5 mins late in the end, but it waited. Anyway on board we watched SuperBad (which was superbad) stopped for a picnic, and then stopped to Play Barefoot bowling later on. Yesterday we arrived in Rockhampton. As soon as we arived I began to wonder what the Hell we was doing here, because we immediately realised it was abit of a ..hillybillyish place and absolutely nothing to do. We arrived at our Hostel which was a little dodgy. Its basically a pub with a few rooms upstairs, and I think there's about four people staying in the whole place, that's including us two. Today was abit of a random day, as we got up and had no plans for the day at all. Today was attempt no. 2 at surfing on my trip. The last time didn't go too great, seeing as It left me scarred for life, but I was keen to give it a go and try improve my opinion of the sport this time around. I decided to do it here in 1770 simply because it was diert cheap - $16.50 for a 3 hour Surf Lesson, so I couldnt resist at that price. Today we did the Scooteroo Tour which was really good! At first I was a bit nervous, because I've never driven one before but it was pretty easy. There was about 35 of us that went out and it was fun. The choppers go upto 80km, which is 50mph, and I managed to hit that so I was pretty happy with myself.
