Grefrath!!!! November 17-23, 2008 We were playing in Grefrath which is a tiny city in northwest Germany but we were staying in Venlo, Netherlands which was only a 15 minute bus ride away. Really nothing exciting about this city. Our hotel was definitely like a motel and it was soooo funny when all of us Holiday on Ice people arrived with our giant suitcases and there was no elevator for us to get up to our rooms. There was only a tiny outdoor staircase. I have two huge bags but one has become known as "blue papa" because it's obviously blue and bigger than big. My roomie Cindy helped me carry it up a flight while all the big strong crew guys just stood around and laughed!! Our room was even more funny. I wish ... read more

BREMEN!!!! November 10-16, 2008 So sorry I’m way behind now with my blogs and will continue to apologize as I’m positive I’ll always be behind. So second week! I absolutely loved Bremen, it’s by far one of my favorite cities. Our hotel was ok and it was about 15 minutes walking distance from the center of the city. Bremen is definitely not a large city but has a beautiful center with a lot of character and history. One of the famous stories involving Bremen is the Bremen Town Musicians (German Die Bremer Stadtmusikanten, also translated as The Musicians of Bremen) which is a fairy tale recorded by the Brothers Grimm. Despite the title of the fairy tale the animals never actually arrive in Bremen. “In the story a donkey, a dog, a cat, and a ... read more

Hamburg!!!!! November 3-9, 2008 “Hamburg is as watery as Venice and Amsterdam. Three rivers - the Elbe, the Alster, and the Bille - traverse it, as does a grid of narrow canals called Fleete…Hamburg, In the mid-19th century an admiring Glaswegian treasurer described Hamburg as the worlds “most mercantile city”. So much history has taken place here and 80% of it was in rubble after World War 2. “ Germany tour book. On November 3rd we left Freiburg in the very south of Germany to travel all the way back up to northern Germany to Hamburg. After a long almost ten hour bus ride we arrived at our hotel. I was soo exhausted I pretty much passed out the second I made it into my room. The next day though a few girls and I took ... read more

Freiburg!!!! (So sorry I'm behind but bare with me as I catch up eventually haha) “Freiburg, western gateway to the Southern Black Forest, has the happy-go-lucky attitude of a thriving university community. Framed by the velvety hills of the Black Forest, it is endowed with a wealth of historical attractions.” Germany Guide book Of coarse I didn’t really have time to see any of the historical attractions but I did explore the city, Freiburg is absolutely beautiful. To me it seemed very similar in feel to Aspen, Colorado except I was surrounded by little hills instead of giant mountains. We left Utrecht the 25th of October and stayed in Freiburg until November 3rd. That night we arrived (after a eight hour bus ride) some friends and I walked around the city and found an underground dinner ... read more

Collection of Utrecht Hi everyone!! So sorry I haven't written in a while but things have been crazy! Rehearsals are coming to a close so everyone is frantically trying to perfect things last minute. Anyways, I took a ton of pictures with my nice Nikon D40x while I was residing in Utrecht and have touched a few of them up and added them for you all to see. Utrecht was very unique and had so many different sides to it.. Shopping streets, little cafe's, canals, train stations, parks, and graffitied walls. It was a pleasure to stay there and discover all the fun places to visite or eat at. Hope you like the pictures and thank you all so much for all your comments I appreciated it and will get back to you! my email is ... read more

65th Anniversary Party!!! On September 29th Holiday on Ice put on an extravagant party to celebrate their 65 years of shows. All the members of my cast and all the members of the other two shows that are in production were there along with many veteran skaters. In all it was a party of about 300 people! My cast piled into two buses around 3pm and it was about 40 minute ride to this huge theatre venue. Everyone was dressed beautifully and done up nicely, we show folk know how it’s done. I took pictures in the lobby for a little while until we were ushered up onto this balcony with waiters walking around with drinks and treats. Then all 300 of us were taken into this large auditorium for a presentation and speeches. At first ... read more

Amsterdam!! My very first day in Amsterdam was on Thursday last week and it was absolutely amazing. I left with my friends Julian, Matt, and Naomi around 11am and took a quick 20 minute train to Amsterdam Central Station. It was a beautiful day, absolutely no clouds if you can imagine that and we just walked around for a little while. Of coarse we started out with some shopping and there were some crazy stores. We walked to one of the main squares and Naomi and I got attacked by a million pigeons and of coarse everyone around was laughing hysterically while we were screaming our heads off! After, we decided to go to one of the famous wax museums Madame Tussaud. I had never really heard much about them but there are only 4 I ... read more

Holiday on Ice 65th Anniversary biggest pin wheel I was fortunate enough to be asked to join in the biggest pinwheel ever this weekend. It was put together for Holiday on Ice’s 65th anniversary and we had 65 skaters join onto a pinwheel for Guiness book or world records to create the biggest pinwheel ever!! So, all of the Energia cast was needed and members from the other shows to accomplish this. Thursday after Energia rehearsals we jumped on a bus for Mainz, Germany to rehearse and then do it live for German television on Sunday afternoon. A five hour bus ride and we finally arrived around one in the morning. On Friday we left for an arena that I later learned we will be going back to in December to perform our show! It ... read more

The First week as a Pro!! OK...... From the start..... Sunday i left at 8:40 and flew in to Dulles Washington and had like a 3 hour layover where I basically did nothing and then left for Amsterdam. I was sad cause I didn't get a window seat so I could see over the Atlantic and no I didn't get to sit next to any cute guys.. Instead I sat next to this bigger guy who reeked of smoke, it was gross... but I just watched some movies and tried to sleep... didn't work out so well though.. Anyways, I arrived at Amsterdam at 6:30 in the morning and got my two giant bags that weight precariously close to 50 lbs and lugged them to the train station only alittle ways away. Ok, so the worst ... read more

Hello Family and Friends! Welcome to my blog site! I hope to keep this up to date as I travel Europe with Holiday on Ice. I can't believe I already leave in less than two weeks!! Of coarse I'm excited but I'm also freaking out! Oh well, its the good kind of freaking out, just that unease of walking blind and hoping not to run into any walls ha. For those who don't really know the details let me lay it out for you.. It all started this spring as I was trying to figure out what to do this year. I had aplied and been accepted to Parsons Fashion Design School in Manhattan, New York and was most likely going to attend...even though I had absollutely nooo money to go to this incredibly expensive school. ... read more
