Touring through the Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve in the Amazon is so far the highlight of this trip. The adventure began from the moment we left the wildlife station, when somehow between my friend Jason from the station and I, we managed to bus 2 hours in the wrong direction only to have to bus right back past the station again to go the other way. Well I lied about not having internet here... I guess it would be tough to do research up at the station if there wasn't any... The field station has been pretty awesome so far, despite the freezing cold and rain every day (I am currently wearing as many layers as I brought down here). I realize that this is kind of lame to write after the first day, but I´m off to the field research station tomorrow morning and then probably won´t be back to internet land for 3 weeks... so here is the run down of my first day. Much like I just ran a test run of the TTC so I know I can get to the airport alone tomorrow morning for my flight down South, this is just a test run so I know what I'm doing when I'm paying for time and the keyboards are all different. I've spent the past week in Quebec City for my cousin Hilary's wedding, and now I'm in Toronto visiting friends before I fly out.
