Well howdy from Germany!! I know it has been four thousand days since I have written, but hey a girl gets busy. OK lets get everyone up to speed. This is what has been happening for the last 2 months in Germany. We moved into our house and got our stuff!! Thank goodness. We have the entire house pretty much set up besides the little things. For example hanging pictures, putting together our office, etc.. Things like that. We actually had to buy more furniture because our house is a lot bigger than the one in MD. Once the weather turned nice, we put our house stuff aside and started traveling. Erol, (Kenan's Brother and I must say the coolest brother-in-law possible) visited us from Iraq. It was a fun visit. While Kenan was wasting away ... read more

GREAT NEWS!! We found a house! It is a little modern for our taste, but will work great for us. It is 20-25 mins. from RAB. Its an Autobahn commute, but that is ok. We think that the inside will work great for our needs for the next 3 years. We met the owners/landlords and they seem like great people. The wife fell in love with Joshua. Thank you big blue eyes, you got us a house. :) I knew they would come in handy someday. (Don't mind later in life those same looks might get him in trouble. We will worry about that later.) Anyway, the house is big, but not to big that I will have a hard time keeping it clean. We do have to invest in some more furniture. Good news for ... read more

Hello all, We are all doing great here in Germany. Apparently better than Virginia and Maryland, with all their crazy snow! Shovels are your best friends at the moment. Can't lie, kind of glad we got out before that. But, my heart is with you all. UPDATE: K and I are legal drivers in Germany. K passed his driving test last week and I just passed mine today. Wow was it hard. There was only 100 questions, but you can only miss 15 and pass. Let me just tell you a little bit about German driving. I am not lying when I say there are 160 different signs! That all mean different things. That is a lot of memorizing. But with a lot of hours of studying we are done! Woohoo. Thank goodness. Joshua is walking ... read more

Hallo, (German for Hello!) See I am learning :) We went on our first outing today. While we were on the way to look at a house, we stopped to take some pictures on Main street. This is Otterberg. I must say I think we fit into our surroundings. Why don't we just hold a sign up saying " Hi! We are tourist, so anything old we are going to take a picture in front of..cheese!" It is really pretty. We are adjusting well. Still on the house hunt, but I am sure we will find something. Tomorrow we are going to explore, so more fun pictures! Tschuss! (Means Bye! I am on a roll)... read more

Hello to all, Okay we have almost been here a week and I am finally writing. Well we made it in one piece! With our 3 pieces of luggage, two dogs in large kennels, pack-n-play, diaper bag, backpack, car seat and ourselves. Watching us walk through the airport, was a funny sight. Apparently, Germany is a very dog friendly country. When we were at the airport, we had the dogs in the kennel, and I kept noticing that everyone was looking at us. I thought to myself, what the heck they can spot that were Americans, do I have a sign on my forehead reading " American". I asked K's coworker, why everyone was looking at us, she said they are wondering why you haven't taken your dogs out of the kennel yet. Humm, dog abuse ... read more

Well Hello from our new residence! The Ritz-Carlton at Pentagon City. WOW!!! That is all I have to say. This place rocks. From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted with a staff that caters to your every need. I mean it, If we asked for a unicorn they would put a horn on a pony, paint it pink and purple and bring it to our room. I am not sure why I said pink and purple, but when I think of a unicorn I always think of those colors :) As you can see from the pictures, the room has everything you need. Oh and by the way a mini fridge and high chair were delivered upon our request. Ballin! OK enough about the life of luxury we are leading right now. ... read more
