So I went to Morocco for my spring break, and it was quite an adventure! I went with an organized group and toured Morocco from Tangiers to Rabat, Fes, other smaller towns and to the Sahara Desert. I promise to write more later, but I thought I´d at least get the photos up. Sorry that I have been a horrible person and not written... silly school keeps taking up all my time! Expect long entries soon or even after my program. There is just so much I want to share!... read more

Hey everyone! I´ve been hearing how much some of you enjoy reading my blog and that is so great to hear! That also inspires me to write more frequently so that I can share my adventures! So this past week hasn´t been quite as exciting as the ski trip to Andorra, but a good week nonetheless. Actually, last Tuesday I went to the Chocolate Museum here in Barcelona, yes, the Chocolate Museum. It had all sorts of scupltures made out of chocolate and we learned that Spain and more specifically Barcelona introduced chocolate to Europe. Barcelona is also responsible for the first mass production of chocolate... yes, you can thank this city for that. So anyways, it turned out that this museum is across the street from one of my school´s here so it was a ... read more

Hey guys! So you´ll never guess what I did this past weekend... I went skiing in Andorra in the Pyrenees Mountains! Skiing! I know what you´re thinking, and you´re right, I definitely don´t know how to ski, but after two days on the slopes I feel like I learned a lot! In case you don´t know (I didn´t), Andorra is a tiny country in between France and Spain and it is all mountains. I think from the top of any mountain in Andorra you can see both of the other two countries and someone said that all of Andorra is about twice the size of Washington D.C. We got a great deal on our ski trip and we paid a flat fee for two nights in a hotel, two days on the slopes, breakfasts and dinner. ... read more

Hey all! I finally figured out how to upload photos to this blog using my external hard drive, so hopefully this will work. Let´s see, it´s Sunday night now, and I´ve had a pretty great weekend! At the end of last week CIEE took us on a tour of the Gothic Quarter and on a Modernism Tour. The Gothic Quarter, or Barri Gotic, was amazing. There are building there that have been here for a thousand years. We even saw some Roman Columns that were built over 2,000 years ago. We visited la Iglesia de Santa Maria del Mar, which is a really old church that looks amazing inside with tons of brightly colored candles. Of course, on this tour my camera died, but I took a ton of photos from a friends camera that I ... read more

Hey all! Thank you so much for reading / looking at my blog! Through this site I can see how many people have viewed it, and it made me feel loved.. hehe. Not much new has happened yet. I did attend two classes last night at the local business school, Escola Superior de Comerç Internacional, which is a much better school than I thought it was going to be! I guess it´s one of the best in Spain, go figure. Anyways, I signed up to take a class called Electronic Marketing which is taught in Spanish, but I also sat in on a class called Operational and Strategic Marketing, which is taught in English. Both classes seemed awesome, but it was very challenging to learn about electronic marketing in another language. Plus, the teacher for the ... read more

Hey everbody! So I finally figured out how to use a blog! (It really wasn´t that hard, so I´m not sure why it took me so long.) Well, except for that all the directions are in Spanish, so that is a bit challenging. We´ll see what happens! So I have officially been here for 5 days. The flight here was so very, very long, but at least it went smoothly. I was so tired when I first got here though, and I still am, the time difference makes it kind of difficult. For the first couple of days I went to an orientation with the CIEE program, who organized everything for me. It was pretty helpful, I learned where I was going to be living and how to get back and forth across the city using ... read more
