After slaving away like a muppet for a year with poor excuses for holidays I'm ready to relax, except its odd I dont know what to do with all my spare time!!! OK so I'll do two blogs one for northern thailand one for the south I guess. I met up with ·Guy in Bangkok, twas bit odd at first but settled into it all nicely after a few days. Bangkoks ok thats all I can say I'm not a big fan of the big smelly cities, but there were some nice bars etc the usual. I cant even remember what I did there coz I was sooo knackered, mbk centre or something and mooched around a few sites or markets I dunno?! So the times coming for me to leave all the days crossed off my calendar, as most other foreign teachers experience the director was giving me grief to stay but I have plans so unlucky. Last few weeks consisted of lots of soju nights with some of my korean friends and tooo much bloody work. Shared the same flight with some people to bangkok so that was convienient. Really looking forwards to thailand. Rarr! The last few weeks was when I got to sample some more of the interesting food, live octopus well it still moves after its been chopped up. Your literally wrestling with your food,, bizarre. I remember the tentacle wrapping itself around my chopstick and sucking on for dear life. Its quite chewy and not lots of flavour just strange. hey hey hey so my time here is coming to an end, its been wonderful but I'm ready for the off, am excited about Thailand and all the potential sunstroke which lays ahead. Been a mad year cant belive its gone so fast yardy yardy yardy, anywho .. Pics are random nights out me partying as usual, erm some other ski - muju resort photos, We did a talent show graduation for the 7 year olds which was chaotic, so had about 100 kids running around all day having to change their costumes, and yeah it was hetic, but lots of fun especially getting lots of presents off the parents, flowers, designer make up, gift vouchers, all makes it worthwhile haha Also joshua and travis (porno tash) leaving do photos, gwangju is so quiet without them! ... read more

So I was invited along to muju ski resort a few hours drive from gwangju. Having only ever attempted to ski once ( dry ski slope in Bangor Wales - classy) I was pretty excited to have a go. Me and nat had to get up at bloody 4.30 am, and trek down the other side of town to meet everyone. All the others seem to be experts at it. It was around -9 I think when we got on the slopes. We intially went on the bunny slope and it was boring so I said to Brianna to go straight up a bigger one thinking it would drop us off half way so it wasnt too far to fall down / attempt to ski down. new years eve and we arrive in beijing, and wow was it a shock to the system, cold dot com, i mean brassic!!! ( not as cold as zion tho hwa and christina!) We ended up getting a dodgy cab which ripped us off and charged us prob a fiver when it should have been a quid, shock horror ahah but feck it we were cold and wanted our bed and i wasnt guna argue over a few quid , was pretty happy when I arrived at the hostel. We decided to get in a pedicab , the man must have had thighs of steel to pull us two tubbys along hah sod it i was paying him so he cant complain plus im sure he appreciated the work, keep him warm in the freeszing weather, ... read more

OK sooooooooooo holiday timeeeee yippeeeeee, hoorah I have been waiting four months for this holiday, I am so excited, so we flew out of Gwangju, which was laden with snow, I mean snow! And watching the flight board as flights were being cancelled, but luckily ours was fine. SO so so we headed to Shanghai, luckily it was 6 degrees asaaaa , so it was pretty reasonable. There were alot more beggars and poor homeless people than I thought which was quite sad, and we were constantly being asked for money from little kids, which is heartbreaking, but thats life I guess. ok so christmas time is coming and i have a nice little stash of pressies to open on the day cheers!!! made it decent! anywho this months been pretty busy as usual , working hard, getting ready to go to china! Been a bit lonely this month since some cool people departed but i'll soldier on. Not got that long left its mad to think i've been here for 9months already crazy eh Well it was Garys party which was 60 - 70s themed so its hard to find outfits in Gwangju so I opted for my dress and some colourful earrings and make up. so the lizshe is departing us boo hoo sob sob warble warble, and mr guy is heading off on travels too, so my two favourite people here are abandoning me ABANDOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNINGGGGGGGGGG MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE haha get a grip, I still have me trusty companion liz who'll keep me sane, and janine is my new chum so I'll survive, you just get to really know people here and then they do one, it'll be me in the not too distant future too so I shalln't whinge as I know everyone will be completly devasted when I depart ( wishful thinking no one wil bat an eyelid) Sooo the group of approved people that lizzie likes ( and who arent fooking weird like 90% of the foreigners here) were invited out.
