Hola!! This day really started at about 7:00 pm the evening before, when I got on a bus headed to Madrid from Granada. Five hours later, I was in Madrid, and after a short metro ride to the airport, was in Madrid Barajas Airport at 1:00am, almost five hours early for my flight...And no bed anywhere in sight. So, Nothing's ever simple is it? Last night we headed to the bus station at 8:30pm to catch a bus to Madrid...There's supposed to be one that leaves every hour until 1:30am...But alas, there was no bus leaving until 12:30. Now, the bus takes roughly 4 1/2 to 5 hours...The flight was for 5:45. No way we would have gotten there in time to get to the airport, check-in, and board before the plane left. Wednesday, April 4, 2007 I didn’t really have any plans for us for Wednesday morning, so we decided to try to do some shopping. So, finally I'm almost caught up! Sunday, April 1, 2007 The bus arrives in Madrid at around 6:45. I get off at the second stop and catch the Metro to the Airport. I arrive at the airport about an hour later with plenty of time to spare before needing to meet my family’s 8:45 arrival. So, I ask for the plane I think they’re on and am directed to Terminal 1.
