SWEDEN is a beautiful country or at least what we saw when we accidentaly went there We spent about half an hour in Sweden and I had to put the Southern Charm on the toll both lady not to charge us for entering and leaving the country it was great. After our adventure in Swe http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Denmark/Region-Hovedstaden/Copenhagen/blog-317379.html Kobenhavn Simon and I hopped on the train and steamed into Kobenhavn for a great day of exploring. We walked to the Town hall and I got a famous picture on with the Author of many famous children's stories Hans Christain Anderson. We weaved down Stroget street to experience the main shopping street and we quickly took a side street that showed us more of quiet Kobenhavn. Thanks to my first class tour gu http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Denmark/Region-Hovedstaden/Copenhagen/blog-317295.html Koge with the family I showed up here in Denmark to wrap up my Europe trip with a bang. The proper Danish welcome is to lose your lugagge I guess so I was greeted properly and Courtney Shelby and I headed for Koge. Koge is a tiny town just south of Copenhagen where Simon Courtney and now Shelby Chercka live. After a three hour bus ride we pulled out our maps in good American tourist fashion and made our way to Hotel Belvedere and then found some dinner. I thought we were going to be in a small mountain town and be the only people from out of town and I was ready to stand out like a sore thumb but we w http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Poland/Lesser-Poland/Zakopane/blog-314367.html Sopping wet in Sopot We headed for the beach of Poland Sopot I am from Wrightsville Beach and during the summer time it can be as hot as 100 degrees and sunny and the water is in the 80's but in Sopot it was 60 degrees and the water was around freezing that is what it felt like. We spent our time walking around when the weather allowed and spent then rest of the time in the hotel having some good family time play http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Poland/Pomerania/Sopot/blog-313288.html Aushcwitz One who does not remember history is bound to live through it again. George CantayanaThis is a more somber blog. Today we vistied Aushcwtiz and Birkenau which where the largest of the Nazi concentration camps during WWII. It is a very real and very heavy place. As we walked and listened to our guide i often found myself not listening and trying to image what it was like for the people during t http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Poland/Lesser-Poland/Auschwitz/blog-311745.html Krakow the land of legends My parents moved to Krakow Poland a little over a year ago. They live next to the Castle and my Dad works in the mall. Krakow was named after a Dragon that lived in a cave under the castle. I couldnrsquot make this stuff up. The dragon ldquoSmokrdquo had a large diet of cattle and virgins and the king was tired of giving up so much beef and pretty young ladies. He setup a competition for any http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Poland/Lesser-Poland/Krakow/blog-311771.html one last group of pictures here are the last of the pictures and videos http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/France/Burgundy/blog-311837.html Bike trip coming to an end The last two days of the wine tasting bike trip where pretty awesome. We meet the La Comtesse de Loisy who was a 91 year old firecracker that showed us her gigantic wine cellar and entertained us with stories about growing grapes black mold and even war stories. After we listened and laughed we continued on to meet Greg and tour is Cermant sparkling wine like Champiagn but since it is not fro http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/France/Burgundy/blog-311756.html more pictures from "more vineyards and early morning wine" here are some more pictures from the first two days of riding. there are a ton of pictures..... http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/France/Burgundy/blog-310981.html Two days of Vineyards and early morning wine The next two days where spent riding bikes and tasting wine. We rode through vineyards then a little town then more vineyards and then another little town. We tasted wine at 1030 am which made all the wine taste like bannanas and toothpaste at Nicole and Piere's wine cave. They were really good about teaching us about the whole process of wine making. They don't even think of selling their w http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/France/Burgundy/blog-310889.html Start of the Wine Trip we all arrived in Paris to start our adventure we hopped a train to Beaune and checked into our hotel and began to explore Beaune. Beaune is a major tourist town for the Burgundy region it is one of the bigger towns and it lies right in the middle of the valley. If you don't know anything about Burgundy i didn't know a thing before this trip here is a rough descpription there is a valley in Fr http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/France/Burgundy/blog-310753.html Burgundy Video Here is a video from our bike trip. i will post pictures and descriptions later. http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/France/Burgundy/Beaune/blog-309546.html summer at home I have been at home this summer and loving it. We Stopped at Normans Cay and had a wonderful dinner at MacDuff's. The next morning we snorkeled the plane wreck and ate lunch at Wardrick Wells. That evening we spent the night at Staneil Cay and befriended the entire island. We attended the Valentine Festival at the public beach and headed off for the pigs. We http://www.travelblog.org/Central-America-Caribbean/Bahamas/Exuma/blog-248450.html Day Off Working in the Bahamas is actual work no one believes that but we spend 5 some times 6 days a week working on the boat. There is alot of cleaning that goes on just to keep her up. But the days off are pretty great. We have made many friends down here. Ben is a fellow capt. from Florida that runs a 42' Saber and he stays in the boss's house and has a 26' Regulator to use. We decided to take off o http://www.travelblog.org/Central-America-Caribbean/Bahamas/Exuma/blog-245748.html Bubble Baths and Pet Sharks We decided to spend the night in Compass Cay. Compass Cay is famous for Tucker and his pet sharks. But before i get ahead of myself lets talk about going to Rachel's Bubble Bath. There is a pond on the Eastern side of the island where the waves break over the rocks and fill the pond and the water sits in the sun all day and heats up. It is a pretty walk up the creek to Rachel's Bubble Bath and you http://www.travelblog.org/Central-America-Caribbean/Bahamas/Exuma/blog-243290.html Caves and Pigs.... Staneils Cay is home of Thunderball Cave. Tunderball Cave is the spot where the James Bond movie was filmed back in the 70's. It started as a puddle on a big rock. Over time the puddle got deeper and deeper and the waves wore out the underside of the rock. They eventually met and formed Thunderball Cave. We stayed at Staneil Cay and enjoyed a nice chicken dinner provided by the girls and we spent http://www.travelblog.org/Central-America-Caribbean/Bahamas/Exuma/blog-237841.html Allans Cay and Norman's Cay We picked up Sigrid and Melissa in Nassua and got off that stinky rock and had a quick cruise to Allans Cay. The great attraction of Allans Cay is the iguana population. They hear your motor as you pull up to the island and come out of everywhere and they are looking for food. we brought with us a few bruised apples and some excited attitudes. We got a chance to feed the iguanas and got our first http://www.travelblog.org/Central-America-Caribbean/Bahamas/Exuma/blog-235380.html Eblow Cay When the cold front finally lifted we finally threw the lines and headed out of Marsh Harbor and headed for Elbow Cay. Elbow Cay is home to Hope Town and Tahiti beach where we have been before and my family and I have spent vacation. Matt and I tied up at Seaspray Marina and rented a golf cart and headed for town. It takes a few close calls before you get comfortable driving on the wrong side of t http://www.travelblog.org/Central-America-Caribbean/Bahamas/Abaco/blog-233901.html
