My lifelong dream has been to travel. I have always had a desire to see the world and experience different cultures, languages and people. I finally had an opportunity to pursue my passion and I’m about to start on this amazing adventure. I just turned 25 years old this May 25/07 and I’m packing up my life and starting my amazing trip from Vancouver on June 15 and I will be flying into Sydney Australia. I’m not sure what each and every day will bring, but I so stoked to see what the future holds. Candi Girl

I just don't know where to begin. I guess I should start with our trip to Lake Taupo on Saturday. We went and did some shopping and Cat and I went a checked out a band that was playing at the park. We then went and found Erica and watched the fireworks. We decided to head to a pub Mulligians and have some beer and figure our itenerary for the rest of our trip. Sunday morning we woke up and it was an absolutly beautiful blue sky sunny day. So I had the worst time departing from Fiji. I went to check in and they asked me if I had a connecting flight out of Auckland. I didn't I was never told I need to have one. They told me they weren't going to borad me unless I bought a flight out. The offfice wasn't open till 9am and I had to board the plane by 8:45am. So I waited for a Quantas rep to find me a connecting flight and I ended up having to pay $515 fijian dollars to fly to Brisbane. So I paid it cause Erica and Cat were waiting for me in Auckland cause they had a different flight. I arrive in Fiji on June 20th @ about 7pm. I met a girl named Mary-Lou on my flight and later found out we were staying at the same hotel. We found our beds and got settled and then we went down to the bar for a drink. We met three aussies and decided to go anf have a drink with them at the locals bar Ed's. That was a bunch of fun, but I decided to call it an early night. I chilled at the beach the next day and just wrote in my journal and read a bit of my book while taking it all in. I flew into Sydney on June 17 and stayed in Kings Cross. I met a few people the first day, but I was really jet legged. I got up the next morning and walked to the opera house and through the botanicial gardens and then took a ferry to Darling Harbour. I got a ticket to see the Auqarium and the wild animals of Oz. It was alot of fun, but the weather was cold and rainy and there wasn't really more to see in Sydney. So I decided to book a flight to Fiji and spend two week laying around on the beach and maybe find a tour that I could experience the culture a bit more. Where do I start? Last Thursday my cousin’s Kelly & Alex picked me up from the airport in Victoria. It’s so beautiful here. Last Friday Kelly and I went to the airport to pick up Shane. We stayed @ Brent and Chrystal’s place for the first two nights. They have an awesome apartment that is so close to everything. Shane and I went to the Blue fox for breakfast and went and rented a scooter to rip around the harbor with. It was such a beautiful clear blue-sky sunny day. We walked along the wharf to the light house and watched sailboats and cruse ships doc. Here I am kicking it in rainy old Summerland. It’s awesome to have some time to visit with the fam before I head out to the Island. So far I haven’t done a ton of stuff just tying up a bunch of loose ends. I’m hoping a get a bit of time to kick it with my friend Ali before I leave. I had a wonderful birthday dinner last night with my Dad, Melanie, and my sister Liz. It was locates on the lakeside resort overlooking the water. It was so awesome to share our crazy stories and have some time to catch up. Only three days till I leave Calgary. Everything has snuck up on me so fast. I'm so excited to see what the future holds. My Dad arrives in Calgary tomorrow afternoon and he's here till Sunday morning. Dad and I will pack up his truck with the rest of my stuff and we will be off to Summerland B.C. I'm in Summerland for a few days then I hop on the plane in Kelowna and fly to Victoria. I get to kick it with my cousin Kelly& Alex, and my good friends Chrystal and Brent.
