I would NOT have been able to bring myself to eat the bugs either!! But I wish I would...just so I could say I did! I can't wait to show my girls the elephant pics especially. What a wonderful way to volunteer. And 6 days without talking to anyone. I'll bet we don't know anyone else who has done that. I camped overnight by myself once, and I couldn't believe how long THAT seemed without talking to anyone! You've sure picked a good time to be gone. You had had out to walk along the Camino de Santiago, and you had done it! I was sure in Valdelavilla (when you told me your plan) that you can get in Santiago de Compostela after 800 kms walking along, and now, I supose you are the most happy woman in the world!. The night life in Madrid is beyond comparison and it is truely a city that never sleeps. Go eat at Botins in Plaza Mayor (it is the oldest restaurant in the world), the food is a bit pricey but it is world class eating. Don't drink to much Spanish Rioja! |
