Oct 30: Went into Rayong this Sunday morning to meet Pern, a Thai who worked as a General Foreman for me in the Congo. I went to the bus station to meet him as that was the only place I knew there. As I waited, I had my first proposition from a lady who wanted to come with me – for free. As we all know, there is nothing free in a woman. Sorry girls. Pern showed up and we went first to see a friend of his, Krithong, a former construction hand who has given up the trades and started his own restaurant. I had the best Thai noodle dish so far.
