Query Hi Cameron, Hey can you answer me a query. I am independent and plan to travel to Lukla then trek to Base Camp. I am being told for safety and socially purposes I should go with a tour or group. yet I am also told that I can arrive in lukla, hire a sherpa and or guide for AU$20 per day and save over AU$1800 by doing my own thing.....and have just as good a time.
Wow! That's quite the 'list of things to remember'. I had no idea you were so smart!(haha). Actually, what you wrote were things that I often think about, but separately, you know? Not all listed like you did. I think you really nailed it and I'm going to print out what you wrote and put it on my bathroom mirror. It's a great way to start each day. Thanks Cam ... you keep giving me an older brother to look up to.
About the hair cut.... Glad the hear that you and Redina are having a wonderful time. About the haircut....well I guess I should warn you that Scott has boycotted getting his hair cut since you left....in honour of your trip. See you soon.
Nazca are you going to fly over the lines?
I was kidding about the golf score pal but I did break the century mark.
Remember I want you to check out what travel in Cuzco and Iquitos would be like in January, ok?
Lucky you!! Hey I didn't even know you were gone on the trek of a lifetime...I might be having feelings of envy or something..and I laughed at the reference to Groundhog Day..out loud...and hard!! Hope that day at some point ends!! and I have no idea how this whole blog thing works so maybe you get this, maybe you don't....maybe it floats around the world of blogs for all to see ??? :) have a great trip, me and Janice will book the table at Boston Pizza for your return so you can regale us with your tales of adventure...take care, be safe...L
Hi Cam you are so cool. We are all very jealous. A big hug from all of us at CAPS. We miss you. I told you before you left that we were moving downtown. That is done and Sam wants you to know that she is here with us. We will let you know if any jobs come open but don't worry about that now just have the time of your life.
computer illiterate So here I've been writing to your personal e-mail when I could have been blogging. I swear I'd still be in the dark ages if it wasn't for Essex. So, did you get claustrophic in the caves? I've always wanted to do that, but have this fear of getting stuck. Off to Peru and another strenuous trek? I suppose if you can do Everest you can do anything! We're going to have to have a brother/sister night so you can describe everything you've experienced. By the way, Sean's comment brought tears to my eyes. He's such a sweetie. Continue your journey with lots of love.
Holy Shit Hey Cam:
Fantastic pics of the mountains! I would love to be there, it looks great! How is your breathing at 16,000? Hardly wait to talk to you about Everest. Take Care, see you when I do.
Tim
You finally made it!!!!! Well guy, you finally made it to to the land of Aus!!!!! If I remember correctly, the last time you planned this journey was 1985 when you were in Whistler. Sorry I broke your time line, but you finally did it!!!! Way to go, ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks to Redina Cameron, I am so glad that you are able to have this experience not only for yourself but to share with our boys. I must say that without your very significant other, Redina, I would have had to ask you to cut your trip short due to my unexpected surgery. Without Redina's kindness, caring and generosity I don't know how we would have managed without you. God bless.
moved on? Gee all gone quiet, hope you managed to move on to yr next port of call.
I dont know anyone else who plans Everest Base camp, Easter Islandand Macchu Picchu in one trip.
We look forwrad to keeping track.
Bon Voyage
