Well I have made it. After a year of turmoil and challenge , I am finall here. The flight with qantas was easy though I missed out on an upgrade that four of our group of 8 managed to score. Did really worry me the excitement got me through. The food was decent and watched 3 movies I was keen to see. On our drive from the airport to the hotel we all became very profficient in spanish by reading and translating the signs and billboards we passed. I failed at the toll booth when I thought all the trucks were not allowed to turn in circles, the sign said nothing of the sort. I am nervously excited about the trip I am about to take to South America for the first time. I have travelled extensively but there are a few 'firsts' on this one. I'm going for 6 weeks, on a holiday and there is no work involved. I have never done this before. I am going with 14 other people I pretty much don't know anything about except that we all share a passion for latin dancing. And this is my first big solo travel effort, without friend or loved one to share the adventure ( and stress of travel).
