My first blog, this is so exciting! I suppose I should have done this months ago, when I started my volunteer work, but I have not had the time or energy, but now I feel that it is my duty to get the word out on the volunteer experience, and how amazing the results can be for both the volunteer, and those who the volunteer helps. Recently, some friends from my hometown in Ashland, OR, raised $700 for the small, poor day-care center that I am a volunteer at. I was shocked, especially because $700 can go so far here.
