| 1st June 2008 Waylon | - From: Luxury at its Finest Angela sounds snotty in her post. Thanks for the information about the passport stamp. Very helpful, and great photos! |
| 10th March 2008 Jayne | Beautiful!! - From: Savannah Bay Thanks for the incredible pictures!! We'll be going next winter and can't wait to set foot on Savannah Bay sand!!! |
| 15th November 2007 angela | fresh pasta shop - From: (Not Jessica) Alba yummmm...i drool. plus truffles! how lovely! gelato...gotta stop drooling... ;) |
| 15th November 2007 angela | street performers - From: 365 Steps to Heaven i love watching street performers. in london they're in covent garden and some of them are just amazing. i don't know how they do it! in london, dogs are allowed everywhere too! even the bus! i don't mind harmless ones but when we were on the bus, a pitt was on with the owner. pitts are illegal in england but people often mix them so they can't say they're pure-bred. we wrote in and complained so the next time someone with a small lap dog tried to come on, they seem to now need a permit to bring them on the bus which is a blessing since that pitt was by my legs by our groceries!!! usually it's the lower classes (they're called CHAVS= council housing (which is like public housing), aggressive, violent) who own those kind of dogs. i sound snobby saying that, but it's true which is just unfortunate. sigh. |
| 29th October 2007 CM and J | Barolo - From: Serralunga d'Alba We didn't realize it was well known until later. Cheryl has a cookbook that specifies Barolo for a recipe! We just got it because it was from the town we were in. |
| 29th October 2007 Jessica | speaking of scaffolding! - From: 365 Steps to Heaven I had the same experience with scaffolding the two times I've been to Notre Dame. It was removed right after I left last time. Sigh. |
| 29th October 2007 Jessica | Barolo! - From: Serralunga d'Alba Agh! If only I'd known I'd have begged you to bring back some wine for us! |
| 29th October 2007 John Null | Umm Nutella - From: Back in Time I hope you saved me some crepes. |
| 29th October 2007 Unka Jeff | What? - From: It's a Beautiful Day! J, what the Hell were you doing up in a satellite? |
| 27th October 2007 angela | authentic quality - From: Just Passing Through Cannes i'm like you two! i like to go where there are lots of locals. i hate touristy places because it's crappy, i think. it was funny that on our honeymoon in kauai, i don't think we had breakfast in the hotel. we went out searching for restaurants where locals hang out. i likes those places much better! :) |
| 27th October 2007 angela | nice cars - From: Luxury at its Finest very nice! we always have nice cars in our neighborhood since it's posh. funny that we live there, too! hahaha that's nice though. i didn't know that it's the 2nd smallest country! i got a history lesson! hehe |
| 26th October 2007 Unka Jeff | Europe . . . Again? - From: A Day With a French Family You Guys! Europe Again? Please try and stay there until November 17-25 so we can meet in Spain. Your Auntie Yoo and I will be in Madrid, Toledo, and Valencia vacationing, er, I mean, attending an important international conference. I'd like to sample the Spanish Luxembourgers, if any. |
| 26th October 2007 Kirsten | : ) - From: Fakeland USA You guys are my traveling heroes!!! I like your detailed & thoughtful entries! |
| 27th September 2007 CM and J | Evita's Casa Rosada - From: An Eastern European Madrid I took some pictures, but it was cloudy and I wasn't really happy with them. I'll see about posting one in an upcoming post. |
| 25th September 2007 MW | La Casa Rosada - From: An Eastern European Madrid I imagine that you guys have already left, but had you taken any pictures of the presidential palace while there in BA ? and if you did, why didn't you post any ? |
| 25th September 2007 CM and J | Srta. Luis - From: An Eastern European Madrid LOL - actually I speak pidgin spanish - It's amazing how much has come back to me, I can understand quite a bit. It's only been like 18 years!!! We're doing way better here than our three days in Madrid last year, but maybe it's because more people here speak English than in Madrid. |
| 25th September 2007 CM and J | Good Information - From: An Eastern European Madrid Thank you for correcting us! We will change the post. It is a beautiful tomb. |
| 25th September 2007 Cousin Nander | Survivor? - From: Scooby Snack That pic of J "at the blue pool" reminds me of the location of one of the team campsites from the T.V. series Survivor, the second season. That season was supposedly filmed in the Australian Outback though. |
| 25th September 2007 MW | I am jealous - From: An Eastern European Madrid Wow, BA sure looks like a great place. I am truly envious of you guys. Dancing the tango ? J Sra. Luis would be disappointed that you don't remember any Spanish |
| 24th September 2007 Javier | Tomb of a General - From: An Eastern European Madrid Just for your information, the freedom of Argentina, Chile and Peru was secured by General Jose de San Martin, and the tomb in your picture is his tomb. Simon Bolivar secured freedom of Venezuela, Colombia and Ecuador, and hi is buried somewhere in Venezuela where he was born. Both of them were leading their armies at the same time against the spaniards, and they met each other just once in Guayaquil (Ecuador) in 1821. |
| 19th September 2007 Kirsten Harper | So great! - From: Xtreme Queenstown Your pictures are so fantastic! I love that one of the queenstown shore...the water looks so glassy - and the whole shot looks like a painting! Looking at your pics. of NZ really makes me want to go back and travel some more there! |
| 19th September 2007 CM and J | Chunks - From: Dolphin Flounder Well in Italy, I would kind of expect that. In NZ, I was just surprised they'd run it. And with no danger waiver! (or booties) We're just glad we were among the 4 people who DIDN'T blow chunks. I'm sure it was awesome if the weather was good for it, but the seals are so much more reliable. |
| 19th September 2007 CM and J | Bent - From: Free Jandals! Unfortunately I didn't censor it - I just couldn't remember what he actually said since it was pretty awkward coming from him. The Aussies and NZers have so much slang that it's hard to remember this stuff. |
| 19th September 2007 CM and J | Hot Dog - From: Rugby Sevens So, it's called a Hot Dog, but basically it's a corn dog dipped in really thin batter, that ends up crinkling up like an eggroll. I'm sure it tastes OK, but it was such a perversion of an American invention, we stayed away! |
| 19th September 2007 angela | jealous - From: Lord of the Rings hubby and i are sooo keen to do that!!! my friend lives there so we'll have to go visit them soon!!! i love the pictures!!! great stuff! i am so jealous! cannot wait to go there! |
| 19th September 2007 angela | - From: Rugby Sevens yea what is that? doesn't look like what we think of as a hotdog. hubby's been telling me how rugby's played because the rugby world cup is on now! |
| 19th September 2007 angela | - From: The Remarkables forgot to say that i love the portrait of you guys too! |
| 19th September 2007 angela | - From: The Remarkables oh that looks awesome!! so much fun!! i wanna do that! |
| 17th September 2007 Jess | money - From: Dolphin Flounder This sounds similar to our experience on a tour in Southern Italy. We signed up to go on this little boat for a cave tour and they took us all the way out to it but the swells wouldn't let us get in the cave so we all came back . . . no money back. They knew the weather when we started! hmmmph |
| 17th September 2007 Jess | Bent - From: Free Jandals! Finish the quote! There are many ways to say it . . . bent as a nine bob note? Bent as a bottle of chips? Bent as a ? ? ? Inquiring minds want to know. also, what exactly is a pikelet? |
| 17th September 2007 Jess | hotdog? - From: Rugby Sevens Is that a deep fried hotdog? |
| 16th September 2007 angela | kaikoura - From: Picturebook Kaikoura oh, now i'm dying to go there!!! |
| 16th September 2007 angela | - From: Seal Swim lucky you! looks like great fun to swim with seals! again, you guys did everything i'd wanna do!! so great!!! :) i always love to see the pictures!!! |
| 16th September 2007 angela | - From: Franz Joseph and Fox Glaciers great pix and how sweet you stayed in a place run by a thai lady!! yummy thai food!!! great stuff! |
| 16th September 2007 angela | scooby - From: Scooby Snack love scooby! sounds so great! i'm sure salty would've gotten along great!! lucky you!!! i'm so jealous! gorgeous landscape and even a fabulous horse ride!!! :) just fabulous!! |
| 16th September 2007 angela | sad it was disappointing - From: Dolphin Flounder it did seem like such a money-making endeavor. i mean, that's sooo dangerous that you guys were supposed to swim in 6-foot swells! that's just too dangerous and i'm sure it would've been awesome in calm waters like that dutch couple experienced but man, i was so excited to see you got to swim with wild dolphins! but then after i read it, i felt bad that it was just a big disappointment. does seem all about money, huh? sad. i would've loved to do it in calm seas! oh well... |
| 16th September 2007 angela | cheeky sign - From: Red Hill Mining Town love it! love to see the sheep and CM as a gold robber! hahah lol |
| 14th September 2007 Cousin Nander | Diving in the NW - From: Seal Swim That is so awesome guys! I was hoping to get my dive cert. this summer during my time on San Juan, but just ran out of time. It is definitely on my list though so I'll look forward to hearing stories when our paths cross again... |
| 14th September 2007 Unka Jeff & Auntie Yoo | WOWIE! - From: Picturebook Kaikoura Looks great. We are planning to go to NZ soon and are interested in these farm and country B&Bs. It looks wonderful! |
| 3rd July 2007 angela | gorgeous pictures - From: Wai-O-Tapo Geothermal Park man, i love seing all the pictures again! yea!!! :) |
| 3rd July 2007 angela | both - From: Geothermal Wonderland or Tourist Trap? but who cares that it's a tourist trap too? it seems so great! i'd love to go see it all! funny that the ducks don't seem to mind the hot water then, huh? so j is well travelled too? how come? yea, william and i don't understand people who don't expand their horizons and that's good that j held his tongue... seems kinda retarded he came during high season...oh well. just hope they had fun too. |
| 3rd July 2007 angela | lovely - From: Gee, This Looks Familiar oh i do wanna go to wellington because my friend lives there and we both do want to visit...it's just so far away! sucks that the ferry ride didn't seem that great. |
| 3rd July 2007 Pamela | How do you do it.... - From: Geothermal Wonderland or Tourist Trap? First, how do you always manage to find someone to take the most beautiful picture of the two of you everywhere you go??? How??? Second, I got a horrible rash from a hot tub in Tofino, BC two years ago..... my hot tub days are over! Third, I truly believe in the thermo pool/spas. When I hurt my leg in Budapest, I swam at the thermo pool at the hotel and my leg, and body never felt better! I slept good too. |
| 3rd July 2007 Pamela | Yellowstone Park - From: Wai-O-Tapo Geothermal Park WOW... the Yellowstone resemblance is uncanny. What a neat place. |
| 2nd July 2007 Jess | yipes! - From: Geothermal Wonderland or Tourist Trap? I just read about the amoeba--scary! I feel itchy all over!!! I'm glad you didn't encounter it. Yipes! It's good to read the journals again :) |
| 21st June 2007 Rebcecca | outstanding - From: Splish Splash We Were Taking a Bath! these pictures are truely breathtaking. I am heading to the Caribbean in and November and am so excited after seeing these photos. Which island is this place on? |
| 23rd March 2007 Rahima | candlelight - From: Interlaken Walkabout Thank you this photo is so nostagic and beautiful. |
| 27th February 2007 Pamela | Nice.... - From: The Outer Reef Beckons! I love the "Great Barrier Reef" photo.... beautiful. CM looks great in the "Strike a Pose" photo.... what a beach bunny. |
| 27th February 2007 Pamela | Long lost brother - From: How Ya Goin'? Hey, that outback dog looks like Riley's long lost brother..... really they could be twins.... HA |
| 5th February 2007 M & M | nice house - From: Best Night Ever Wow nice house ! |
| 15th January 2007 CM and J | Swarm... - From: Off to the Races! In this case it's swarms of winged ants I think, although they could also be moths. Either way, they don't bite, so it's not that bad - just annoying when they hit you in the face. They're just attracted to the bright lights around the race track. |
| 14th January 2007 pamela | love thai - From: A Photographer's Dream cm & j, i feel these are some of the BEST photos of your trip! what a lovely and fasinating place/culture..... pure beauty ..... thanks =) |
| 14th January 2007 Jess | swarm? - From: Off to the Races! What is swarming?? |
| 28th December 2006 angela | happy thanksgiving it was then! - From: The Accidental (Medical) Tourist the hospital sounded great! and so glad j's all better now. that reminded me of my hospital here in london. it was quite like a hotel rather than hospital but the one j was at sounded even better!!! ;) |
| 28th December 2006 angela | movie theatres - From: Bond, James Bond that theatre sounds fabulous!!! how fun is that! plus different flavored popcorn!!!!! great! i heard the bond movie's good too! we'll have to see it someday soon. hope you had a fantastically merry christmas!!! happy new year if i don't get a chance to tell you later also! |
| 27th December 2006 Pamela | BFF (aka: best friends forever) - From: Beautiful Chaos I too am glad that Salty and Riley are best buddys! Riley just told me he looks forward to a time when he and Salty can walk and hike again!!! He also said he really misses Salty. Bella has no comment at this time... HA |
| 27th December 2006 Pamela | To Bad... - From: The Accidental (Medical) Tourist Sorry to hear that J was so sick. However, the hospital sounds nicer than some hotels i have stayed in.... no more food poison J. |
| 26th December 2006 Jess | so thankful - From: The Accidental (Medical) Tourist I'm so glad you're better J! No fun at all but it sounds like the best place for it to happen. Merry Christmas! |
| 23rd December 2006 Unka Jeff | Nice Photos - From: Visiting the Motherland So . . . . . you're finally getting caught up with your photo blog! You must be having a good time! I can't wait to see the Bumrungrad photos on-line! |
| 22nd December 2006 angela | motherland - From: Visiting the Motherland i'm still impressed you guys packed so well for so many different countries! at least you had some sort of jacket, right? ;) |
| 7th December 2006 CM and J | Driving on the Right or Left - From: Driving in Europe Found this article on Wikipedia, the story behind driving side is quite interesting: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Driving_on_the_left_or_right |
| 7th December 2006 CM and J | Muhle - 9 Men's Morris - From: I Want My Alpenmacaroni! Thanks for the help! Based on the name, I found a full description of the game on wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nine_men's_morris |
| 7th December 2006 anonymous | - From: I Want My Alpenmacaroni! The game ist called Mühle. The aim of the game is to get three of your figures in a row. So for instance: the red player already has three of is red figures in a row. If he manages to put another stone/player at the open gap where already two read stones are laying besides each other than he ist the winner. |
| 6th December 2006 CM and J | Frontal Shots... - From: Driving in Europe The background around the car was really bad, and busy, so I couldn't find a good angle from the front. I do have some but don't like how they turned out. I should have at least got a closeup of the logo though... I will be posting a long series of high res photos when I get back home, so I'll see what I can do. As for the road driving, only the UK we've seen drive on the left. In general, most "island nations" drive on the left, although Thailand drives on the left as well. |
| 6th December 2006 CM and J | Space Bags... - From: How to Pack for a Four Month Trip The space bag is really useful, as is reducing the number of shoes you bring. They're pretty much the bulkiest to pack. My latest idea is to go on a trip to Thailand with no supplies but camera. I think you could completely outfit yourself for a month in the tropics for about $200 in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Then you could take it home, or just donate it when you leave. How crazy would that be? Just leave for Southeast asia with the clothes on your back and some expensive camera equipment! |
| 6th December 2006 CM and J | Americans and Vacation... - From: Taking Care of Business American vacation time is totally ridiculous. We're the only remaining superpower, and our great impact on the world with foreign policy really should mean that Americans travel more and take our role in the world more personally. We're on this trip, which is basically unheard of for any working American, and Europeans think it's cool, but aren't that amazed that we're doing it. We spent 10 days driving around Europe, and couldn't even imagine that normally that would be our entire time off for the whole year! |
| 6th December 2006 CM and J | Toledo Redux... - From: Holy Toledo! I can see how the history of Toledo would be fascinating. It's been controlled by many different civilizations. I think we were just dissapointed that it had not been taken care of well, and was really touristy. Kind of like the people forgot what was important about the city in the first place. It's worth seeing if it's a nice day and you have more time, I just ended up enjoying the street life in Madrid more. |
| 6th December 2006 CM and J | Feeling California... - From: First Day Wearing Socks! Spain definitely feels a lot like California. I can see why the Spanish worked so hard at keeping Mexico and California. I too would totally love the Spanish schedule, and it's good to know that there's a place where I wouldn't be considered a lazy outcast with my sleep patterns! |
| 6th December 2006 CM and J | Picture Lamer... - From: Where's the Throne? The really annoying thing was the Euro guy that said no was with two Americans that stared at us and didn't offer to help either. We ended up getting these two kind of skeezy looking punk kids to take our picture, and they ended up being really nice. |
| 6th December 2006 CM and J | Communal Table... - From: What is Bavarian Cream? We like the communal table a lot. Inevitably we end up talking with someone sitting next to us (and in Europe this talk quickly goes to politics). I don't know how well it would work generally in the states though. Not only are people used to be seperated, but usually lunches and dinners are pretty quick affairs, and I can't see people taking the time to just chat over a 2 hour lunch and espresso. BTW, I've heard of Salumi's but I thought it was just kind of a salami sandwich kind of place. Will have to check that out when we get back. |
| 6th December 2006 CM and J | Balloon Dog - From: Ah, Venice! Thanks, Pam. You guys are so smart - no question goes unanswered! |
| 6th December 2006 CM and J | Navigation in Venice... - From: Ah, Venice! It's true navigation in Venice doesn't really benefit from a map. We just used the map to remember the names of where we wanted to go, so we could ask locals. The funny thing is that for a lot of the main sights, every single corner will have a sign saying "this way to St. Marks." After a while we figured out that it was probably just shop vendors trying to create more traffic on their little alley way! |
| 6th December 2006 CM and J | Dirty Water - From: Ah, Venice! Actually it was like pulling teeth to get tap water in Europe, so we drank only bottled water and even brushed our teeth with it in Venice. As you'll see later, this isn't my only bout with getting worn out and sick on the trip. 4 months of no more than 3 nights in any place is apparently really tiring. :-) |
| 6th December 2006 CM and J | Refills... - From: Until Next Time No, they're not free, but they're cheaper than anything else you can find in Switzerland, and they brew it there themselves. It's something like $50 for the pitcher and $10 to fill it or something. I asked the guy at the restaurant whether we could get it filled and drink it there, but of course no, it's only for "takeaway". |
| 6th December 2006 Nander | Refills - From: Until Next Time Are the refills free???!!! |
| 6th December 2006 angela | Luxembourgerlis - From: Time for Chocolate Fondue my friend visited the area and brought me back some of those Luxembourgerlis! it was fun to be reminded of them in your pictures! |
| 4th December 2006 Jess | flea market - From: At least I'm not a Weiner... I was intrigued so found this for the origin of "flea market": http://ask.yahoo.com/ask/20010709.html You guys are having too much fun! Keep the journals coming. |
| 3rd December 2006 angela | monty - From: Return to Haus of Monty so glad he was still there! love your pictures, as always. |
| 30th November 2006 Nander | Cingular? - From: Dressed to the Nines Ha, that watchmen picture looks like one of those Cingular commercials. |
| 29th November 2006 Pamela | Balloon Dog in Venice - From: Ah, Venice! FYI, the blue balloon dog in Venice is by an American artist named Jeff Koons. He is quite successful..... |
| 24th November 2006 Loren & Amanda | Ah, Venice... - From: Ah, Venice! CM & J -- I (Loren) was sick too when we last pulled in to Venice...that's a story better shared with you in person than on this blog. :-) No matter what people say and how dirty the water is, I still love Venice though. |
| 23rd November 2006 MW | what a car - From: Driving in Europe How could you not include a pic of the Lamborghini from the front ? I learned a lot from this entry. I agree with your final statement the speed limit in the US should be increased. The increase however should be tied to vehicle gross weight; the semi truck drivers on the east cost are insane and their vehicles should be confined to the right lane. I can't help but wonder - are there any european countries (other than the UK) where people drove on the left? |
| 19th November 2006 Pamela | Fa Bello Venezia - From: Ah, Venice! CM there is no guidebook or map in the world that can help navigate though the most confussing city in the world.... but isn't it great to just wonder around? Everyday in Venice was like Christmas morning for me, with a magnificent gift at every turn. Sorry to hear that J was ill. I love his Casanova do! |
| 18th November 2006 Eric Fristad** | Memories - From: Ah, Venice! J, your natural sense of balance & drama truly is evident in this photo record of your sojourn. Michele and I have seen the neighborhood, there, and revel in your record of it. **friend of Ross from High School (whoa) |
| 16th November 2006 Jess | Balloon Doggie - From: Ah, Venice! Is that a sculpture? Hilarious! |
| 15th November 2006 angela | ahhh paris - From: 20-20-24 Hours to Go wow, great pix from paris, especially napoleon's tomb and the city picture. enjoy! |
| 14th November 2006 pamela | Beautiful artwork. - From: Garden of Treasures Lovely mosaics, thanks! I believe mosaic art is a true labor of love & devotion. They are remarkable! Glad you got to enjoy some "REAL" Italian food, there is nothing like it!!! I hope CM is feeling better? |
| 11th November 2006 Jess | McFancy - From: Land of Mozart Is that really a McD's sign? That is hilarious. |
| 10th November 2006 Jess | family style - From: What is Bavarian Cream? It's interesting that a big trend in "hot restaurants" right now is the "communal table". A lot of new restaurants are having large tables where you all dine together. I think it would be fun (I've done it at other restaurants--"Express Cuisine" on Vashon, "Salumi's" downtown . . . but I wonder how long the trend will last and whether people will embrace it or not. Interesting! |
| 3rd November 2006 Jessica | picture pooper - From: Where's the Throne? I can't believe somebody wouldn't take your picture! How rude! |
| 3rd November 2006 angela | gorgeous - From: "Oh, my husband is Liechtensteiner!" love chimi! nice rental car, too! oh i wanna see food pictures then too!! ;) |
| 31st October 2006 Pamela | ummmm me hunter! - From: "This is not good, this is not good!" Well, J looks a little scary with that sword standing over his meat... hummmm. It's like some caveman instinct has taken over his body, he looks proud and serious about his kill. CM, I wouldn't let him but any sword souvenirs... just something to consider! |
| 27th October 2006 Anita | - From: First Day Wearing Socks! Finally, a place with my kind of schedule! Sure wish we could do that in California. |
| 26th October 2006 anonymous | Just a remark - From: Return to Haus of Tolsty Remember that a Madrid-Zurich flight is considered domestic since both countries signed the Schengen Agreement. Once you enter the EU Schengen Area you are free to move around and no border control should request your passport, even if you're a non EU citizen. About liquids and other stuff control...well you might be right. |
| 26th October 2006 Unka Jeff | Holy Toledo! - From: Holy Toledo! Toledo is one of my favorite cities in the world. It played a major role in the intellectual history of 'the west' by being the place that the great works of the ancient Greeks and Romans were translated back to European languages from the Arabic where they had been kept and respected during the 'Dark Ages' of Vatican oppression. The Toledo Cathedral is, in my humble opinion, the most wonderful in all of Europe. Good destination choice you guys. Have fun. |
| 26th October 2006 angela | european vacation days - From: Taking Care of Business yea, william has a hard time working with them since they take so many holiday days!! it's too bad that americans are not like the europeans in taking all those holidays! |
| 26th October 2006 angela | Luxembergerlis - From: How many Luxembergerlis are you going to eat when we get to Zurich? ok, i am waiting for the pictures then!!!! ;) |
| 26th October 2006 angela | spanish - From: First Day Wearing Socks! yea, when we visited barcelona, i really didn't like how late they eat! we ate dinner at like 10 and finished at midnight! i don't know how they do it! i don't like that! i couldn't live there because of that reason. |
| 19th October 2006 Unka Jeff | So What! - From: Savannah Bay Big deal: sand and clear water. We've got that in spades here in Thailand, but the food is better! Sheesh. Get out of that God Forsaken place and get to Thailand quick! Looking forward to your arrival. We have booked a Bangkok riverside Thai sound and lights drama production for you (and us) after your arrival. Khun Dang will pick you up at the new airport. |
| 15th October 2006 Pamela | WOW - From: Splish Splash We Were Taking a Bath! Wow, simlpy lovely! If J's day job ever fails (which I hope it doesn't), he should become a photographer. These photos are wonderful. I can feel the breeze, smell the salt and hear the sounds of the water gently lapping on shore. |
| 14th October 2006 ANGELA | the baths - From: Splish Splash We Were Taking a Bath! i thought after reading the baths, it was gonna be like the roman baths, a place where people use to bathe! but nonetheless, the baths are gorgeous!!!! |
| 14th October 2006 angela | beautiful pix - From: A Talking Dolphin Spoke to Me oh you guys, i'm soooo jealous that you get to travel the world like this!!! so fabulous! i love the pictures too! i always look forward to seeing your next blog!!!! take care and have fun! angela |
| 13th October 2006 Jessica | Bugs - From: A Talking Dolphin Spoke to Me Those red bugs with the X are called "Cotton Stainers". Why do I know this you may ask? They're illustrated in one of Logan's books! It's called "The Icky Bug Alphabet Board Book". I would love to be sitting by any of the bays with y'all! I can't wait to read more. |
| 10th October 2006 Nander | Family alphabet - From: Open Pit BBQ Stupendous! You are both my heroes for the month! Don't spare any of the gory details for those of us hoping to undertake our own wordly adventure someday. I think it is funny that you titled your picture "K & I"...I might need to change my name to A (the cousin formerly known as Nander). =D Good luck with your adventuring! |
| 10th October 2006 Melissa M | - From: Open Pit BBQ What an awesome trip ya'll are going to have! I am looking forward to reading your blogs.... |
| 10th October 2006 Unka Jeff | Have Fun - From: Open Pit BBQ When, exactly, are you arriving in Bangkok. We want to book a few 'events' for all of us. |
| 10th October 2006 Unka Jeff | No car parts? - From: How to Pack for a Four Month Trip What! You packed without any race car parts for me? I needed a new transmission! |
| 10th October 2006 Kare | Palm Tree? - From: Open Pit BBQ Neat start to your adventure. Great photo of the palm tree's shadow - perfect silhouette. |
| 9th October 2006 Jessica | WHAT? - From: How to Pack for a Four Month Trip Wow! I had no idea you were going around the world. I'm excited to read all about it!
