| 4th June 2008 CFC C2C | I can be bought. - From: Close Our Flight Plans: Down Safely In Gaithersburg "real" story? oh, better not in writing! We can talk... |
| 2nd June 2008 Michael R. | what you don't want to hear back on terra - From: Close Our Flight Plans: Down Safely In Gaithersburg You showed it could be done, with bumps and bruises, through bad weather and dead batteries. Be nice to us you have been following the trip, land and air. Warn us what song, pun, or title you never want to hear from us. And be kind in regaling us with your "war stories"--I'm sure for some "you had to be there" to appreciate them. Now I will await Judy's book to find out the REAL story that could not make it on the blog! |
| 2nd June 2008 Marion | glad you're all safely back - From: Close Our Flight Plans: Down Safely In Gaithersburg That's it - just glad you are all back home. I assume everyone will sleep tonight! |

The pix were amazing, and will bring back many memories. It was great living the trip vicariously....I'll never have this to look back on otherwise. I admire your group skills and careful consideration for each other. It was a fabulous group experience, and I'm sure you're all much richer for it. Here's to more happy flying.....hugs...Mom Bradt |

| 26th May 2008 Phil Pique | My kind of motel! - From: Get Back To Where You Once Belonged: Walla Walla A motel with comely Harley chicks in the lobby, and located by a railroad track??? I want to stay there! |
| 25th May 2008 Joe Stubblefield | Another pool done - From: Get Back To Where You Once Belonged: Walla Walla Congratulations to Danny Hayes, he won the pool on who would require medical attention first. We all wanted to pick Bob. Also, seems it is too late to put a pool together on who would require psycological help the first. Here's hoping for good or at least adequate weather before you all start looking like biker chicks. |
| 22nd May 2008 CFC C2C | a fault and battery - From: Wilsonville Reflections on 18-20 May while Cooling Our Heels, Aurora Airport Oregon must be my writing isn't clear. Earlier, they thought they needed a new battery, but ended up not getting one, just wire brushed corroded terminals and that seemed to do the job...but they were wrong. I myself remember the battery on 624 as having been sluggish on more than one occasion over the past few years, so I was NOT sorry to see it replaced, esp as I'm flying in that plane on this trip. |
| 22nd May 2008 Geoff Hornseth | great update - From: Leaning Through a Launch Window...Wed 21 May Outside Portland Judy- You write well enough to make it seem I am still with the group on the trip. The photos really nicely supplement the story. Great job. Geoff P.S.--Riding home on a commercial airliner is just plain B-O-R-I-N-G and a literal pain in the butt. What a drag. |
| 22nd May 2008 Jackie Ashley | How FUN! - From: Helicycle Sighting in Olympia Judy and Team, Thanks for including us in your adventure! Be blessed with BLUE SKYS and timely flights! One note, BJ Schramm was the inventor of the Helicycle... I will leave the helicopter talk up to Clayton. I am sure he will comment when he reads your great blog! Hey, another first for me, I have never entered a comment on a blog before! Thanks again for stretching my worldview! Jackie |
| 22nd May 2008 karen suarez | great pics - From: Morning of May 14th: Page AZ to Flagstaff AZ Wow, the Grand Canyon must have been quite an experience. I've been to the West Rim, but would love to see it from the air someday. Sounds like you're going to have a lot of good stories to tell. How exciting for you all. I look forward to reading the blogs. Keep safe...from Ruth's cousin Karen |
| 22nd May 2008 Greg | I give up..... - From: Wilsonville Reflections on 18-20 May while Cooling Our Heels, Aurora Airport Oregon So the Cherokee got a new battery on Monday. Then cleaning the terminals didn't fix the problem on Tuesday, so it got another new battery.... So what WAS the problem with the Cherokee? |
| 14th May 2008 CFC C2C | stocking up - From: Santa Fe to Gallup NM and Finally Page AZ...Bucky has a birthday... Joe, your note gave me a moment to seek the course of a quote related to fish, company, and three days. the closest I came was Cf. [Plautus Miles Gloriosus l. 741] nam hospes nullus tam in amici hospitium devorti potest, quin, ubi triduom continuom fuerit, iam odiosus siet, no host can be hospitable enough to prevent a friend who has descended on him from becoming tiresome after three days. I stocked up on cereal, yogurt and egg whites so I could at least manage DIY breakfast. My hostess and I are both sitting in a lovely living room bashing out email and catching up on our individual and collective lives. Life is good. |
| 12th May 2008 Joe Stubblefield | Lake Powell should be nice - From: Santa Fe to Gallup NM and Finally Page AZ...Bucky has a birthday... I hope the crew can get a good look at Lake Powell while there, from air and maybe by boat too. Judy, you might want to stop by the grocery store and bring in a couple bags of food to break the news to your folks that you might be there a "few" days. |

Hope to join up with you enroute tomorrow. I have my new Turn coordinator and new wiring harness, just need final install, which is simple. The avionics folks here in Mena soldered the wiring harness and told me some donuts would be acceptable payment! Larry |
