| 18th May 2008 LIz | educated - From: Some introduction Not only have I been properly and succinctly educated about anthropolgy, but I have also had my first blog experience. Thanks Jen. I will check back and develop blog skills....you enjoy Italy, it might just be better than Hawaii...who knows. |
| 18th May 2008 Vince | Oh how I wish I were you - From: I have arrived! So you finally made it over to my home land eh? Beautiful isn't it. Anyway, make sure you go out for a night to Campo di Furri and hit up one of the gellato shops at one of the four corners of the courtyard, you will have a three out of four chance of eating at the same plave I have ; ). Also if you get the chance I would recommend seeing if you can get to a place called Tivoli (it would require about 1/3-1/2 of a day). It's about 30Km outside of Rome and it has to be one of the most beautiful gardens that I have ever been to and the fountains are simply amazing! Also try the nokki (basically potatoes and cheese, it's pretty good. I hope you are having a great time! Sincerely suffering through dental school, Vince |
| 15th May 2008 dad | and watch out - From: Some introduction watch out for those Italian guys (don't take candy from strangers still applies even in Italy)... and if one pinches you on your derrière, slap him hard (show him that old Naz fastpitch swing!)... love, Daddy |
| 15th May 2008 The roommate | - From: Some introduction That's what she said! OK, that makes no sense. Seriously, have fun and bring the crazy to Italy! ^_^ |
| 14th May 2008 Mom | Have a great Trip - From: Some introduction Thanks for explaining the differences between all the different fields, Jenny. I know I keep wanting to call you an archaeologist but lately I have it right when I tell people that you are in anthropology. I get confused between the Physical and Cultural. I hope your trip is great - see wonderful things, eat great food (Italians know how to cook), drink great wines, meet beautiful people, take lots of pictures and be safe. I look forward to reading about your adventures. I love you, Mom |
