My mom and I cracked up while reading this! XD You're so funny Byrk. Anyways, that sounds really fun. D= I wish it would snow here. Oh, and how many other exchange students are in the school? Do a lot of Estonians speak English?

Thank you, Byrklei! Your writing about Saaremaa (my home) was a really interesting, funny and honest reading. It kinda made me thinking about the real life we're living here. It's just something we don't see from other side, cause we're in it. And even if I get the feeling that you haven't seen the best part (time) of Saaremaa jet, you sure see things with open eyes. So... till next time and better time! Btw, you are a writer! :)

Tsau - From: I made it to my host families house!
So you have learned the language. Fabulous. I'm sure it was difficult. But what have you learned about the differences in our societies? I imagine that the Estonian elders were quite suppressed when the country was part of the USSR...do you think that is right? When I went to Hungary, a former soviet block country, I was absolutely SHOCKED to learn that many people were sorry that the iron curtain fell. That was theretofore unconceivable to me so I really wonder what the Estonians think. What customs do they have that you think are strange? Thanks for corresponding with me. Love, Sloan

NJ and NY and the clock tower - From: Tuesday edition surved up on Wednesday.
The clock on the building made me think of the clock in back to the future, just a random thought but the town is very pretty. Staying in NJ is SCARY and it takes a bit longer then 1/2 hour to get to Ny from NJ. You can find really good deals in NY and in Manhatten you just can't afford to stay near times square, central park or broadway. Regardless, save up and stay there anyway it is so very worth it! giggle like i know what I am talking about

cats at play - From: Minu kass. My cat.
if you think she likes foil you should try a bread twisty (don't know if you have those there), Lexies cat chases them all over the house and actually plays fetch with you and them. Now that we are in the house together Xavier and Cedar chase each other all over the place including jumping on and over furniture, chewing on each others tails and throats, it is a riot. we miss you kid hope to see you soon on Skype!

Sausage! - From: Epic entry!!!
So we all want to know - if there is a buffet of food and you can choose things to eat... will you eat blood sausage again? I am not asking about a meal at a Rotary home where it is all that is being served, will you choose to eat it again? I am glad you are ready for the snow!

Now look whos getting into the fantastic taste of european food. Now you why i love food ^.^ lol "how much of a tourist i mus have looked like" lol, rofl, lmao.. yeah it happens when your in another country but you American, soon everyone will dress like us. they just need time to catch up. I find it quite funny how you can automaticly tell which people are forieign just the simple things they do, in america its not so unusall but in other countries its weird for people you dont know to randomly start talking to you/ waving to you.

- From: I made it to my host families house!
that's sort of freakishly cute that your estonian friends teached you that the word good-bye means in estonian "tsau". i mean, of course it does, everybody uses it but it's actually a slang word, meaning nothing at all in literary Estonian. ah, nevermind. .) you're american? must me tough here in estonia, we're known for cold and angsty people and reticence. anyhow, best of luck and be strong (, Piret, a girl from Tartu (who discovered your blog accidentally and is not sure she should be reading it)

Hahahahahaha You start of with "total boredom" and then proceed to explain all of the adventures you are having and your fascination for everything new... Doesn't sound like Webster's definition of bored to me! Hope you can find a Cello. I'm sure that Lea would enjoy a little music around the place... "Keep you blogging going, get out on the net, tell us your adventures, and pics along the way".... Hahahahahahaha
