Dear Boys and Girls, I am sorry that I have not written in so long. Camille and I have been very busy. We went to Spain for spring break for 2 weeks. It was wonderful! First we went to a town on the Mediteranian Sea called Benalmadena. We stayed in a hotel that overlooked the Sea, the beach, and our pool. The weather was sunny and 65 degrees but the Sea water was much too cold to swim in. In fact the pool was pretty cold too. In Spain people speak a language called Spanish. Camille and I said "Hola" for [View Full Entry]

A pretty beach in Oban
Hello Boys and Girls! Camille and I went up to the northwest coast of Scotland last week. We went to a town called Oban. It is on the water. We took a ferry across the water to the Island Of Mull. A ferry is a large boat that can transport people and their cars across the water. There was a restaurant and even a gift shop on the ferry! Camille and I liked going to the top deck and looking out at the little islands, birds, and water as we went by. The Island of Mull does not have many people [View Full Entry]

Paris

 Europe » France
Dear Boys and Girls, I hope you enjoyed your holidays and time off from school. Camille and I went to a country called France for Christmas. France is in Europe and we once again had to take an airplane to get there. We visited a large and beautiful city called Paris. We walked all over the city looking at statues, museums, churches, and old buildings. There is a river that runs through Paris called the Seine. It was fun to walk over the bridges and see the boats go underneath. While we were in Paris the weather was gorgeous. It was [View Full Entry]

Wales and Chester Zoo

Europe » United Kingdom » Wales » Llandudno
Dear Boys and Girls, Camille and I took a trip down to the country of Wales. In order to get there we drove through the country of England. We stayed in a town on the coast called Llandudno. It was very pretty. You could walk along the water for quite awhile. We hiked up a mountain in the rain and there were sheep all around us! While we were there we also visited a castle called Caernafon. No one lives in the castle anymore because all that remains of it are the walls and towers, but it is still beautiful. We [View Full Entry]

Dear Boys and Girls, Camille and I went on Holiday (vacation) to a country called Italy. Italy is on the continent of Europe. When you look at Italy on a map it looks like it is shaped like a boot! We took an airplane over Scotland, England, the English Channel, France then landed in Italy. Italy is a beautiful country that has a big mountain range called the Alps. It also borders the ocean. Italy is known for many things like olives, espresso, wine, pastries, as well as for the history and architecture of its cities. We went to a city [View Full Entry]

Highland Games

Europe » United Kingdom » Scotland
Dear Kindergarten Class, Camille and I went up to a small town called Braemar to attend the Highland games. The Highland games are held in several towns in Scotland and include many events. It is similar to going to a track meet where events are happening at the same time. However, the events at these games are very different from a track meet. Mostly they are to show how strong the men are. The events are sprinting around a field, running up a mountain (this is called Fell running), tug of war with a rope, hammer throw, caber throw(trying to throw [View Full Entry]

This is me, Finnigan!
September 9, 2007 Hello Boys and Girls. My name is Finnigan. I am a dog that used to live in Eugene, Oregon. Now I live in Glasgow, Scotland. I live with my owner Camille who is two years old. In order to move here Camille and I had to fly on an airplane. First we flew all the way across the United States to NewYork where we visited Camille’s Grandparents. After our visit we got on another big airplane and flew across the Atlantic Ocean to Glasgow, Scotland. Some things about Scotland are just like Eugene, but some things are very [View Full Entry]
