Hey everyone! A lot has happened since my last entry so this could go for a while. Well now the winter season in Big White is all finished, and it was a good last few weeks up there. Lots of trying to squeeze in some more snowboarding and good bye drinks. And by the way I passed my instructor's exam so now I'm a certified level 1 instructor!! The last day was great fun. hey guys. Only a week left now in the season. It all came to an end pretty quickly. Gotta work all this week, then Friday-Sunday I'm doing my level 1 snowboard instructors course! hey everyone. sorry for the lack of fotos. Been working 6 days a week for the last couple of weeks, and my days off have shit house so didnt go out boarding. Hey guys. Hows it going? Its been a few weeks since my last message, thats because things have been pretty cruisy here (and I guess I've been a bit lazy). Hey everyone! This week has been awesome snow-wise. It started snowing on tuesday night and snowed right through till this afternoon, with the occasional stops in the middle. All up about 2 feet. Which provided some awesome powder runs. Had to work all week so only got a few runs in the lunch breaks. But got tomorrow and Monday off so i hope there's still some un-touched powder left! Hey everyone, hope you all had an awesome festive week. On Boxing Day my big present was delivered late in the night (that would be Fanny). Thats why no one's heard from me for a while, been a bit occupied. It was an awesome couple of weeks having her here. Hey guys, hows it going? Last night I had my first 'Broom Ball' experience. Its basically the same as ice hockey but you play with straw brooms with the excess straw cut off so you're left with a hard stub, a little soccer ball, and the most interesting part; you play in normal shoes. And its still on ice! Its awesome. It was liftees versus ski partol last night. Everyone is sliding around chasing after the ball falling arse over head. This arvo/night I did my first shift as a lifty. And it is easily the laziest job I've ever done. Just standing around saying hello and making sure no-one falls off. As long as it puts food on the table... Its snowing again! There's been a few days without it, leaving the mountain a little bare and crusty. And there's still about 5 lifts to open so hopefully thats gonna happen soon. Opening the opportunity for a whole lot more exploring. Hope all is well with everyone. Hey everyone, hows it going? hope you all had a good weekend. Yesterday my liftee career began with a day of theoretical training, and a tour of inside the lifts. And this morning we did a 20-page test to see if we listened to any of yesterday. Last night a couple of room mates and I went Tubing. For those who don't know what I'm talking about, here in the village they have these special tracks and a lift set up, and you get a big tyre tube, go to the top and slide down the tracks. Good news, I got a job as a lift operator and a new board yesterday! Start early next week. Which is good cause getting the job gives me a free lift pass, so now I've got ALL week free to go snowboarding. Went out for the first time today. And it felt soooo good. Almost comparable to sex.
