Hi, Im a newbie to international travel - was overseas in the US army - Germany and have been to Mexico City - passing thru on way to Acapulco by bus. Other than that, a newbie.
I'm adventursome and physically fit. Wanting to explore the Carribean and/or Central America with the idea of retiring down there in a few years - might as well get started now, checking it out.
I'm primarily interested in Honduras, Costa Rica, Belize, etc. Not sure about an island existance, but, hey, what do I know. Want to keep an open mind.
Hi- im starting to plan a trip to Costa Rica or Belize , Hoduras (Roatan?) and am looking for some advice. This would be my 1st trip, travelling alone - with hopes of meeting up with travel companions, or not. I'm a single male, looking for a possible place to retire in a not too distant future, and wanting to check out various places of interest - Costa, Honduras, Belize, etc. Don't know if i should try to travel extensively, or just land someplace (or a couple places) and check out the expat situation. I don't know Spanish right now and, obviously, would have to learn some. I'm not rich, and, even if I was, I like to live frugally and keep an eye on expenses.
