Remember when you dressed like Bing Crosby for Halloween? I think you are an amazing person, but your Mama wants you to be very safe on this journey! Remember on Halloween Eve that I used to worry about you trick or treating on Meadow Vista Way "alone" (...with Daniel, Caitlin, Devin and Rachel)! And you even brought candy home those nights! Tomorrow REMEMBER don't take candy from stranger - NOTHING!
I love you!
Mama

I love you mama,
your baby boy
Very cool Brennan! It sounds like a great experience wandering around Nicaragua. How long are you going to be out of the Country ? I love to see you travel, it will be experiences you'll never forget. We are going to have to get you together with Matt, Daniels cousin when you get back - he spends 8 months out of the Country and 4 months home and has for 10 years. It is a new world out these days
Have a great time
Dave
Im hoping for at least a year abroad but will ride it out as far as my money takes me. Ive already made a lot of connections so only time will tell what may happen. But i'd love to meet a fellow long term traveler to bounce stories and tips off of. Hope all is well with the family and give my godson my love
Yes it is at Volcano Cerro Negro. December is apparently the best month to come for the weather and if you have anby interest in doing a volcano hike you should check out quetzaltrekkers.com
hope Hey Brennan! Thanks so much for the update! I have been praying regularly for you, and see a lot of answers in this entry! too cool!
Speaking of global consciousness: I was asked by a resident of a micro enterprise for poor folk in a game park in South Africa [thanks, world wide web] what one word I would use to describe my feelings about the human race.
Thinking of you and some like you, I said "Hopeful"
I especially like your rationale for tutoring versus Bartending. ( However, Bartenders are often psychologist/priests in our society:-)
Great Job Hi Brennan, Holy Cow. I could never do what you are doing, let alone do it for such a long period of time. I think after 1 week I'd be crying for my mom and I'm in my 40's.
I'm glad that you met Gwyn and you are going to the Election Party with her. It's in your gene's, you've got to be involved even if it's from a third World Country.
Keep up the good work,
Kari
Belize I bet you are ready to take some time off, Brennan. Sounds like you have been one busy guy with Steve out fundraising in the USA. Have you considered going to Belize? Glenyce and I have been looking into going there for a vacation next year and it is right next to where you are in Guatamala. How long will you be working on this Mission? Maybe you and your dad and I can get together for a visit when you are back in San Diego.
Hope all continues to go well for you.
God bless,
David
Hi Brennan; I am a close friend of Jon and Nancy P in Little Rock and used to work with Steve and Shyrel when they were at Casa Aleluya. Your blog is great, I love the experiences your are having and the view of God's nature that it is surely giving you. Through this time you will gain unique insight into who God is and how much he loves us. May He have much glory and may you have much joy through this process. Please tell Steve and Shyrel I said hello when you see them. I love them mucho.
thanks.

what a journey Brennan,
We love reading your comments and seeing the pics. What a life changing journey you are on. Isn't it funny that when you forget about yourself and serve others in need you receive the greatest happiness. We show our love for God by loving others. We are proud of the man you have become and the good choices you are making in your life. Thanks for the updates, we look forward to more, love Dave and Anne
My Hero Brennan, you are my hero and I think you are doing a awesome job in Guatemala. All your teachers could not be more prouder of you and your accomplishments. You should be proud of yourself and everything you have accomplished not only in what you have done for all these children and familys but for everything your learning. You will never find this kind of experience in school no matter how much we try to teach you. This really comes from your BIG heart and dedication what a great person to have experienced this kind venture. Mijo you are my new HERO and I will always have you in my prayer and thoughts, keep up the great work and see you when you get home. ms. c~
A time of thankfulness and learning Hey there Eduardo,
Sounds like you are certainly having an adventure in this new environment, and I bet that at times it can get lonely. I don't really have any experience to compare to what you are going through but I did spend a summer in Spain between my first and second year in college. I lived with a family and did speak some Spanish, but not really enough to convey what I was feeling. I can totally relate to being with a bunch of people, but not really being able to tell any of them what is on your heart.
I am enjoying following your experiences through this blog and hope you find the time every few weeks to post your thoughts. It sure sounds like God is truly blessing you with a number of new experiences that will stay with you for a lifetime as well as becoming a blessing to many other that you will end up touching in your life as you lead it.
Take care and God bless,
David
an inspiration We don't know one another but after reading about your experience I feel like I do know you. I know that you are a selfless and amazing young man and you give all who read this a renewed spirit for the goodness of mankind.
Thanks for being all that you are.
Kate
Your Blog Just read your entries, Brennan, and it sounds like you are already reaping many blessings from this journey. I am interested to follow your experiences through this blog and see how everything unfolds. Take care and God bless,
David Russell
