Hi Paul,
Thanks for a wonderful insight into different parts of India. Will miss your daily blog. Enjoy the rest of your stay with Kate and friends. I think you may need a holiday when you return !!!
Alone! Enjoy the 'alone time' while you can..........Cochin here we come! The flower market looks wonderful, am trying to capture what must be a very floral smell............must make a change!
I enjoyed this blog! :) I was at the Ganges a couple of years ago. There were no dead bodies where I was, and I am not so sure what I would feel about seeing one burning. I will have to consider carefully, if I want to visit Varanasi, when I next get the opportunity to go to the north if India.
Wi-fi Hi uncle p.....been following your travels from around Australia. Looks like you are having more luck finding wi-fi than we did......no where seems to have free access & I'm too tight to spend $10 every time I want to check my emails! Where are you getting access to the web? A
Travel Journalist Ten Days, five trains and 2,300 miles, to the far frontiers of India's railtracks!
Bypassing big cities to visit regions barely touched by tourism.
An article from the Travel section of the Telegraph that I paid £2 for when this site is free, rather than read it I sent the author a link to your blog instead.
Ciao, I spoke with a man from Trivandrum, Kerala this afternoon. I showed him your itinerary and he was dead impressed with the places you're going, have been and visited. He was telling me some great places you could stay in Kerala when you visit, but when I said that you were backpacking, taking the bus and the train he didn't stop laughing for over a minute. He said you must be getting some crazy looks from people as if you're a mad white man!
Catch-up! Well done BT................Well four days without the internet.........I've just caught up with your blog, have definitely missed my daily fix of your account of your days, especially the next instalment of the Adventures of “Chris the Cockroach” I was hoping there would be further episodes………..but alas, he has met his maker!
Mke mine the Mutton Keema Mutter ...with rice and a few cappatis.
I was nearby just last week. Ate at the Lake Ghat Palace (fabulous view of the Lake Palace) - their menu included "Snakes". They did, of course, mean Snacks!!
