Wyn bought the kids ticket to an indoor snow skiing place where they could slide on rubber tubes. At the "Extreme Complex". Had lunch there and kids went on a ride. In the afternoon there was a party at Wyn and Stu's with lots of family. A good time. More photos here.... read more

Travelled from Ambleside to Leeds (with a quick stop in Bolton). Stayed in a Premier Inn. Met up with Margaret and the family in Leeds. It's almost Christmas!!!... read more

Went to the bottom of Lake Windemere for horse riding. Daniel and David went for a walk while Isabel and Katie received some riding lessons. Then up to Bowness to a Beatrix Potter museum.... read more

Left Durham in the morning. Pics of pub included. Drove to Ambleside in the Lakes District and booked into the local YHA which is right beside Lake Windemere - great location.... read more

Dropped Margaret off at railway to travel back to Leeds. Due to poor weather predictions (and plenty of recommendations) we cancelled going to Scotland and went to Durham instead. Lovely place. Found a pub close to town for accommodation. Daniel and I were feeling a bit crook so just the girls ventured out in the afternoon.... read more
