Off we headed for a big English breakfast at the local Kilburn French Cafe. I was recommended the Breakfast Platter by Steve who said 'That's what I always get', Jase concurred. I promptly took their advice but was suprised that on the delivery of said food, I was the only one who had ordered it. Well, we finally made to the home of Bing after another grueling 9 hours. (Flying Virgin Atlantic this time). Richard Branson has a lot to answer for after: A) Making the flight 75 minutes late leaving B) Seperating me and Bing in the plane (not because we were naughty) C) Giving us domestic size seats which only contained enough room for one arse cheek at any one time On arrival at Heathrow, I was suprised to find that the biggest airport in the world closely resemembled Huntly municipal airport. We got up early today before our flight to 'Bike the Bridge'! We hired mountain bikes and off we went cycling for a few hours along the waterfront (up and down some hills) to the fog covered bridge. I presumed that Rich knew his way around a mountain bike until I heard him wailing at the bottom of the first hill that 'he couldn't do it' and 'nobody told me' and 'my bike is stuffed' so I tried to give him a few lessons on the art of changing gears and after a few more huffs and puffs he was away [View Full Entry]

Well, we didn't achieve much yesterday in San Fran other than a brief walkaround down to Fishermans Wharf. We thought we would just quickly check out the softness of the bed at about 8pm and the next thing we knew it was morning. Hi Guys, Well we had a great send off. I found everything a bit bizarre, mainly cause I wasn't 3 hours late and running after the plane, but thats what happens when you have an uber-organised Bong taking care of your travel plans. Hopefully you will enjoy this shot (I know I did) This shows what happens to an otherwise happy plane traveller after 12 hours in the air in a sweaty tin can, having had no sleep, eaten fruit bursts and coke the whole way, and watched 4 movies on a screen the size of a postage stamp. San Francisco, 29 degrees!!!! Luckily for me,I was wrapped up warm and snuggly in a pair of jeans and jersey. We got a cab from the BART stop at Embarcadero and got to the hotel about 3pm local time.
