I don't remember
Can't quite figure out how to sort my pics from my Memorial Day visit. So I will just make a few different entries each with some kinda common theme. This one is sister Virginia cause I got some good pictures of her playing different instruments and I just got done watching Violinists on PBS. The kids from the college (Spring Arbor University) come to her house and bring an instrument and say that they would like to learn how to play it. Could be anything. She takes the instrument for a couple of weeks and figures it out and then starts giving them lessons. I don't know how many more instruments she has or can play. While driving along the roads in Michigan and Indiana you can see all manner of wild life on the roads. I mean literally on the roads. No need to go traipsing through the woods. Everything will be right there on the pavement or just off the shoulder. It is a veritable cornucopia of animal carcasses from species of animals native to the area. These pictures are but a sampling of the many many many rotten, decaying putrefying, spoiling, decomposing, disintergrating, bodies on the highways of the midwest. No wonder Louden Wainwright jr. sang the infamous "Dead Skunk in the Middle of the Road Stinking to High Heavens." In 97 days I will be with you in Thailand. I try not to think about it but I am sooooo weak I can't go very long with out thinking about you and when I am going over to see you. I gota little meloncholy yesterday at Steve and Joyce's when I was playing cribbage with Ted and NOT you. When you left in January I thought it would be months before I would even hear anything from you. I thought for sure you would forget about me and I really thought our relationship would be over. Seems Like three years. Is it at least August yet? No, not even close. I am sure I am aging faster over here in the west, but time sure goes a lot slower. She is over there in the far east doing new and exciting and wonderful things and I am here at work just trying to stay awake. Here are some pics from AAron's ball game 3/21/09. Henry Stanley was the man famous for tracking down Dr Livingston in Africa after he had lost contact with the outside world for six years. Most of the pictures of Henry Stanley show him wearing a hat very simlar to the one you are about to see. In the succeeding months you will see the Hat which I have come to call "Hat Stanley" as an obvious referrence to the much traveled Flat Stanley. I hope to provide pictures of Hat Stanley lodged on many many different heads in the weeks and months to come. Unless of course I lose interest or more importantly if you lose interest.
