Awesome
Your trip sounds great! I'm going to be heading to Burma in January. I thought December was one of the cooler months and that its hottest month was in April.

Hi, from Argentina
10 days to get a visa!!!!! That is very bad I think. I have read that it might be possible to get a visa in Bangkok and it might take 3 days. I do hope things change for tourism and travellers. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was bad...
We wanted to rent a motorbike but couldn't get one as we didn't have a passport. It could be quicker in BKK, since they probably have a bigger embassy there. I don't really know though - good luck!

Visas
Hey Graciela, we got the visas in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It took 10 days and I think was only $20 (28 day visa). Hope that helps, let me know if you have any other Q's...

Hahaha, precisely my point, taxi drivers are not real people, they're scumbags - everywhere. I liked this entry a lot. I only spent one night in Tachileik, tagging along with a friend who needed to do a Thai visa run. Would love to go back, though, and blogs like yours give me itchy feet again. :) Cheers, Jens
