...when we had to head home. We drove from Sedona to Phoenix just a week ago but not before we finished seeing some of the sights in Sedona. Lucille Ball had a vacation home in Sedona, very high on a hill top just down the street from where we stayed in Sedona. Lucille is long gone but her daughter apparently still comes to Sedona on occasion and she has installed a mannequin of Lucille on one of the porches. So if you peak thru the trees, you can see her waving. Of course, we had to check out the Olde UFO [View Full Entry]

Yes, Phoenix Rising Star is how she writes her name. One of the Desk Angels is Umika, who says the name came to her in a dream. Who knows if any of the other names were real.
On Thursday we had a Relaxation Day. As you have probably figured out, our trip had to have built in Relaxation Days...and you know that last nerve Gail and Sue were sharing when they left the Sault, well you will all be happy to hear we found a few so we should be good for a week or so when we get back home. Our Relaxation Day started out at the Heartwalk Center where we met up with Sean and Joy again for massages...oh, the joy of having a massage. We had another aura picture done. Gail's aura after 10 days [View Full Entry]

Now wouldn't this be exciting. We would never have to paint our toenails again because our feet would be purple.
Yesterday was another day of exploration for Gail and Sue...we do want you to know that we did find something that we could both do and make a little money too if we decide to winter in Arizona. We first explored Montezuma Castle. It is one of a number of well-preserved ancient dwellings in north central Arizona. It is probably the most spectacular; an imposing 20 room, 5-storey structure built into a recess in a white limestone cliff about 70 feet above the ground. When first (re)discovered the ruins were thought to be Aztec in origin. The early explorers believed that [View Full Entry]

So while the rest of the people here are looking for dinosaur bones, Gail has her own way of searching for history. We couldn't edit the previous blog to add them so here are some of her best finds. We are a few days behind and Gail now wants to tell you about our flotation therapy...we couldn't resist when it said one hour in the flotation tank was as good as 3 days of detox. Gail will tell you our story... We drove to the compound, and yes I do mean the word compound. The place was completely enclosed by a [View Full Entry]

This is Ronnie's shop. Everything was covered with a thick layer of dust. Not sure when he had his last customer...
Actually, we took a drive thru the Petrified Forest National Park on Monday, May 25th. Gail had been to this park back when she was just a little girl of 8 or 9 years old and was so impressed she decided Sue needed to see this place. The Petrified Forest National Park is along Interstate 40 just past Holbrook and as we drove thru Holbrook, we saw a really junky looking place offering petrified wood and souvenirs, so Sue read Gail's mind and pulled in. We met Ronnie, an old self described south-western hillbilly. He was a hoot and it was [View Full Entry]

Entering La Posada
Entering La Posada
This hotel was really a land of enchantment compared to the crowds and tourists we left in Sedona over the holiday weekend
It was really by chance that we came upon this place. We asked a lady in one of the 2 stores open on Memorial Day where we could get a good meal...she directed us to the La Posada, about a block down Route 66. La Posada Hotel, the “last great railroad hotel,” was built in 1929 for the Santa Fe Railway. If you ever come this way, you have to make sure to spend at least a day looking at this place. At least, plan a meal in the Blue Turquoise room. La Posada’s story weaves together two extraordinary visions. It [View Full Entry]

There were virtually no other tourists so there was no one to take a pic of us together. Gail believes they were all in Sedona packed in the campsites.
We aren't actually in Winslow tonight but have to get caught up on sharing pictures....so here we go. In these pics you will see Gail and Sue standing on the corner. There are murals painted on the sides of the buildings that look almost life-like. There is very little that keeps the town going these days since Interstate 40 took over for the infamous Route 66. There were only 2 little souvenir shops opened on Memorial Day (besides Denny's) when we first arrived. The trains still travel thru Winslow several times every day as they cross east-west corridor of northern Arizona. [View Full Entry]

Leaving Sedona
Leaving Sedona
Instead of stoplights, Sedona is building round abouts on the roadways. Gail says it is the European way.
For the next few blogs, when we post pictures, it will seem like rocks, rocks and more rocks. We will try to remember exactly where the rocks were located. Gail's camera, in her "electronical" ways, decided to mix up the pictures so we have tried to sort them out according to date and location. Sue can't figure out how to resize the pics so uploading to the blog takes time...so learn how to do this before you head out onto the road. We are off to the Grand Canyon sunset tour in 30 minutes...so more pics will need to wait until [View Full Entry]

We purchased touristy Route 66 do-rags...and then went across the street where they were $5 cheaper. On to Wal-Mart today.
Serendipity is the effect by which one accidentally discovers something fortunate, especially while looking for something else entirely. Yes, Priscilla, there is serendipity... We were either exploring, sleeping or did not have wireless access for the past 48 hours so there were no postings so before we head out today, we thought we would catch everyone up with what we are doing and where we are. On Sunday morning we thought we would take a day trip to the Petrified Forest, north east from Sedona. There had been almost torrential rains in Sedona on Saturday evening and Sunday was s [View Full Entry]

Sue and Gail went to the Sedona airport where they have a beautiful view. The pilots have an extraordinary GPS system as seen in the picture. Shortly afterwards we went for our IET, Integrated Energy Therapy, which was to deal with the issues in our tissues. Leon was Sue's conduit to the angels and Phoenix had the privilege of being Gail's conduit. We were in different rooms, which was a good thing. It is too difficult to describe this "therapeutic" modality except to say the angels had to help us release all our negative emotions such as fear, shame, resentment, heart [View Full Entry]
