Well, a lot has happen since my last update. I spent a few more days in Sevilla than planned, but it was super awesome because Sole is super awesome at being a host (as is her sister Laura and Laura's boyfriend Hameid and Mitchie the youngest sister). I have become a champion at siestas. One day I managed to fit in three, much to the suprise of everyone. We also went to Magic Island Theme Park where I was able to go on my first rollercoaster in ages as well as a bunch of other fun rides (a drop zone style [View Full Entry]

OK So lots of things to say about this place. One is that I have barely been here even though I arrived on Saturday in the Afternoon. Well first, the train was really uncomfortable and the plan to stay up all night so that I would sleep through the train trip was not so well thought out. That and the train stoping in Malaga for 30 minutes with no power, turned into some kind of super oven. Other than that though I went in and out of sleeping and watching the countryside from my window. You can feel Don Quixote here [View Full Entry]

My bags are getting packed. My report cards are finished. My coffee mug is almost empty. Four more hours of teaching. Two more classes. One box to take to the post office. A few things to clean and pack. No more nights in Vilanova. One more night in Barcelona. My last night in Catalonia. [View Full Entry]

Today I filled up one my last two major blanks in being a tourist in Barcelona. I went to Park Guell (or the Gaudi Park as many people call it), though I got a little bit lost trying to find it (yet again i decided to ignore the signs and find my own way) The good thing is that I made it there, then to the beach with my co-workers. 3 days of work left! Zaragoza Europe » Spain » Aragon » Zaragoza
Just got back from my weekend in Zaragoza. It was awesome, lots to see, and a way more relaxed atmosphere than Catalonia. No street hawkers or peddlers, just some nice quite time to look at some monuments, drink some beer, eat some food and walk around. Graham and I hung out under the same bridge everyday. Also was able to inspect the 2008 Water Expo site which was a bit sad. The city definitely seems to be hit by the economic crisis but the older party of the city still seemed perfect. The Basilica of Pilar was amazing, probably only the [View Full Entry]

So, last weekend was my last weekend in Vilanova it appears. This weekend me and my friend Graham are going to go to Zaragoza to prepare ourselves for the respective trips we are taking (he is biking to Gottenburg in Sweden!). I will write more on the adventures! Then next weekend to Seville to see Sole. Then Morocco! Today at my English school I was the head of security for the year end party. We had a special guest, Britney Spears (or some impersonator), who pulled up in a Hummer limo and i got to beat back the crowds. I had [View Full Entry]

Me preparing to Guard Britney
And me nervous about...

I have been teaching at an English School in Vilanova i la Geltru for about 5 months trying to save money for this Africa trip. I am living with a husband and wife and teaching them English, great way to save money. Still need to go back and visit the old room mates in Barcelona though. 9 Days left in Catalonia. Trying to organize my money is a little bit annoying, I don´t have a bank account in Europe so I am considering Western Union, Bank Transfers, Travellers Cheques, etc. Definitely not walking around Africa with a big wad of cash, [View Full Entry]
