We all learned something including Mr. Boren Mrs. Bundy. Today was our first and only FULL day in DC and it was AWESOME I donrsquot think the number of significant places we saw has sunk in. We started with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. Mrs. Bundyrsquos students did an extensive unit over the Holocaust so this was further reinforcement for her class. It was a somber reminder of an extraordinarily sad and tragic chapter in our world http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/District-of-Columbia/Washington/blog-417292.html Spartans Crash the Capital I always want to start the daily blog with ldquowhat a dayrdquo and today was no exception We began with the Constitution Center in Philadelphia. It is an interactive museum dedicated to the Constitution. We began with a multimedia presentation which included video graphics pictures and a live actor. We started the day with a quick breakfast and then we were off to Ellis Island. We took a ferry from NJ to Ellis Island. From there we had the options to watch a short play take a free guided tour watch a short video or explore on our own. Once we were all up and ready we picked up our tour guide Kim and started with a driving tour. Our first walking segment of the tour was in Central Park. We spent about an hour walking and covered about 5 of the park. Kennedy Presidential Library Museum. The tour started with a 17 minute film about JFK and his life leading up to 1960 presidential campaign. After the video we enjoyed a self guided tour of the museum which included countless artifacts and personal effects from President and Mrs. Kennedy. http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/New-York/New-York/blog-416015.html There are no R's in Bawstan What a full day We started with a great breakfast at our hotel here in Randolph MA which is a suburb of Boston. Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs fried potatoes pastries yogurt cereal etc. We left the hotel at 830 to pick up our tour guide Scott.
