My head spins. What did I even do today? This morning seems so long ago. TICK, TICK, TICK. The ticking of the clock drove wedges into my brain, making it difficult to sleep. Luckily, my sheer exhaustion allowed me to pass out for a few hours during the night. Phyllis' alarm clock went off six times between 6am to 7am. I lay on the sofa, wide awake and listening to the chimes. After Phyllis finally arose from bed, we puttered around and chatted about the things we had to accomplish that day: Bank, police station, work visa, phone, key copy, etcetera.
