What have I started?! - From: I´M ALIIIIIVE!!!! Just.
As far as I can tell, benjo claims to have worked for El Solario, not Gravity. Also, them people I met who used gravity did not all have a great experience. Unless waking up a few days later in hospital counts as a good experience. The van that almost got wiped out by landslides was also gravity. But our bikes were rubbish (though I can't speak for the gravity ones). At the end of the day, the amount of things that can happen to you on that road which are pure chance, and no company could account for, are endless. It's a big risk whoever you go with.

Clarrification - From: I´M ALIIIIIVE!!!! Just.
As the "foreign" (New Zealand) owner of GravityBolivia.com I would like to clarify that P Mac DID indeed guide for us for a year (68 times down the road), and that Benjo is just one of many wishful thinking people working in other companies who claim FALSELY to have worked for Gravity. I think that the fact that he claims to have worked for us to boost his reputation is just one more testament to our reputation as leading the field in downhill mountain biking in Bolivia. At the end of the day don't take my word for it, ask a pile of the travelers you meet, read the guidebooks, pop into our office, and then make your own decision, we don't need to bag other companies to try and get customers, we let our happy customers recommend us.

How about visiting Swindon in Wiltshire. I've been around the world also and found this town to have the very best beaches, great all year round weather and a wonderfully diverse biosphere. 'SN1 - it's not a place, it's a state of mind'

You didn't expect Simon to be organised did you? I'll be back in Singapore on Tues & rescue you from wherever you are (My sister & I were thinking of going to Sentosa if you fancy that). See you very soon :)

Both the whitsundays & Fraiser Isalnd are great places to visit. You're going at a good time because for half the year you can't swim in the sea around Whitsundays because of all the box jelly fish & you'd have to wear a stinger suit which is basically a long leotard! Nice!! Hope you enjoy Oz, my home to be. See you in a few weeks time, I'll try & tidy the place up a bit before you arrive in good old Singapore!!!

What did you expect? It's the 'off-season' and NZ is not known as a party place - it's somewhere where life goes a bit slower, where you can chill and enjoy the scenery. Why do you think they invented bungey jumping?

not surprised u had fun..u chose the best - From: I´M ALIIIIIVE!!!! Just.
gravity sucks, they only take care of fast people. i think you chose the best company. im their former guide and we take care of everybody. el solario charges less, has perfect english speaking guides like me and all the money gringos pay go to bolivians who need it. gravity claims to be the best because all their staff is "foreign". el solario doesnt lose people off the cliff without even knowing where they fell...if p mac was a guide 68 is the number of times i did the road in 2 and a half months and i worked as a guide for 2 years..u have no idea what u talk about

there's probably a reason that chileans suffer from the highest stress and depression rates in latin america, and this may have something to do with what you sense is a certain "souless" feeling from santiago. you may be on to something. hope things get better. cheers!

I liked the attic, its always good to stay in unique places (not that I can complain with my apartment overlooking the pool & less than 10 mins walk to the beach!). 86% doesn't sound too bad, its a lot more than the children I'm teaching here are getting. There's a possibility I've got to take a test to move to Australia but its an English test so shouldn't be too hard!!! I hope!!! Keep up the cultural education, discovering the local beverages is the most important part of travelling!

Santiago -Chili - From: SANTIAGO - Initial thoughts
Yeah well; perhaps there is not much to see in Santiago. I was very dissapointed with my trip to Chile I though maybe Chile was a little more fun than Bolivia, but found the two countries very similar. BS-As was indeed a blast I had an awesome time and also attended to a football match. No idea who was playing but it was great !! Brazil NO words to describe this gorgeaus country. Peru lovely but some places were a little ackward. Ecuador nice small country very green in the andes. Bolivia boring - Chile boring. I would suggest Brazil for all travelers that would like to have fun, Argentina for the ladies lol and Peru for its culture. Have a nice one Roy here Manchester-England
