East London to Grootbrak with strangers

My wife phoned me, very excited that she has organised a bike trip for me with two people who booked in at her B&B.
I could not believe it, but had to dampen her exitement by asking what type of bikes they had. She did however not understand why I had to know this.
Well, Chris had a BMW 1200 RT and Johan a Kawasaki 1400 Ninja. Exactly my worst fear. How on earth do I keep up with my 750 Africa Twin?
Saturday morning we left with me setting the pace at the front and thinking of how boring it must be for them. They were however "rustige ouens" and the trip turned out to be a fantastic opportunity to get to know two new friends.
I returned from George with one day to get home and wanted to do as many interesting gravel roads as possible after the stint with my newly found roadbike friends.
They had to get back to Bloemfontein via Baufort West and I promised to write from my imagination what the rest of their trip was like and they will then have the opportunity to send a correction for my report. I am interested to hear what they have to say.
