Random meetings - From: Nha Trang - Karaoke Capital
Hi Paul and Beckie, great blog entry. I (Rick) especially like the bit about my early morning drinking (not a habit, I assure you!!). How do you manage to write so much and keep it so interesting? We never seem to have the time or patience to put down so much - we'll put it down to being on the road for so long I guess - we've started assuming our friends just want to look at the photos (e.g. http://rick-and-lesley.blogspot.com/2006/10/karaoke-and-floating-bars-nha-trang.html ) Great to see you (again), have a great trip and maybe see you when we all (eventually) get home to the UK. Rick & Lesley.

Bums and Leeches - From: Annapurna Sanctuary Trek - Part 3
Have just done ABC in september '06 and I got 'leeched' between the bum cheeks...how did it get there? who knows!! Was it dead when I found it? yep...clearly had too much to drink and got squashed. I think I was a leech magnet...14 bites in all....compared to the average 2 or 3 for others...mozzies love me too so maybe I was doomed from the start Happy trekking

looks like fun - From: Keeping the local economy going
Hi you two, We've just been reading your impressively detailed blog- and wondering where you've found the time to keep it up. It's been a great read- especially the highs and lows of losing the money belt and being reunited with your passports- what a relief! We're now learning how to prioritise on what to keep in backpacks from your experiences: - bulk supply of Imodium: doesn't look as important as first guessed. We trust that it is still intact. - two pairs of undies each: hmm. - Uno: definitely required. Glad to see you've been putting this to use. I trust that you've been adopting the super-competitive Alex rules. We expect to see an upgrade to the bulky "Uno Extreme" unit before the next trek. News from our end: there may be four of us by the time you return (we have a little one due in early March).

Caught up on your blog - From: Annapurna Sanctuary Trek - Part 3
Hello guys Have just been catching up on your blog as we were thinking that you've been away for a while now and were wondering how you were getting on. India's an experience, eh? I don't think anything really can prepare you for how full-on and smelly it all is. Glad you managed to avoid getting ill. If you head back that way before you travel on then bribe a tuk-tuk driver to let you have a go driving! It's mad! I definitely thought that Nepal was a lot nicer than India and it was refreshing to get there. Really hope that everything works out with your missing keys and stuff. We enjoyed Ibiza and Formetera recently - Sue even did (or tried to do, she admits) some windsurfing. And Sue saw Mike Hadwin on the Lebanese wine course! Looking forward to your next post. Tim and Sue. XXX
