Hi Jonny Nice work and well done - try Ripping Yarns publisher - I've emailed them myself on your behalf. You've inspired me - however I have a 6 week old baby, so not going to try this for a few years - when I'll in my 50s - it'll probably take me a bit longer than you though... Well done - what are brilliant adventure!

You made it! It's just staggering, congratulations! I am soooo impressed. Take the job and write the book in your spare time. It will be great. Andrew

Well done. I did not appreciate how the time element would end up being so punishing. Please write the book, it would be a shame not to. Dan

the highest mountain in Europe is Mount Elbrus in Southern Russia now not Mount Blanc. I reckon we should crack over and give it a go next spring as a warm up for keighley to katmandu. See you in scotland later this week! p.s. dan says you look like you should be in bon jovi

Travel quote. - From: Ireland-bound
Hhhmmm another quote! Try this:- I think that travel comes from some deep urge to see the world, like the urge that brings up a worm in an Irish bog to see the moon when it is full.  ~Lord Dunsany Relevant I think!!

Well done kid - keep up the good work - From: Cycling into metal barriers
Jonny, What a legend mate - you always were a crazy focused beast, tell you what you need - a cheeky night out in Preston at Tooookyo Joooos to perk you up a bit. Little disappointed you haven't included the Isle of Man on your list. I would, of course, have secured the Examiner front page. Team Paris might join you for the final leg in early August, I`m rounding up the troops.

No stopping you now! - From: Happy camping
Hey Jon - just figured out I was on Snowdon a couple of days after you were, whilst doing the 3 peaks. We finished it with 6 minutes to spare. You've done really well so far with almost half the mission completed! Dont worry about the midges, I got attacked after camping near a river, just put some cheap aftershave on, that will keep them away! Keep going & hope the sun keeps shining for you. Will have a pint waiting for you in Edinburgh!

Jonny you have astounded me and I have loved reading your blog. What you're doing is amazing and I want more people to know about it, as I reckon it puts you in the top 0.000001% of people in the world with enough determination and grit to take this on. Keep on keeping on. See you for a pint soon. Matt

He's just a 'light weight'!! - From: World Cup
He who would travel happily must travel light. Antoine de Saint-Exupery (1900 - 1944) Jonny is carrying next to nothing on this journey. Virtually eveything is in a small rucksac on his back. On the carrier on his bike is a pair of lightweight fabric boots. If it rains everything he's got gets wet! Now the quotation, I'm not that clever enough to know it myself but found it in a book Jonny gave me for xmas : Walking the West Highland Way. Methinks I am being 'set up' for something not least a quick detour up Ben Nevis and Buachille Etive Mor in Glencoe..........................

Sunday................. - From: Snowdon
We saw Jonny on Sunday, when we tackled Plynlimon Fawr with him. He of course striding off ahead leaving his struggling parents and a hot dog (the brown furry sort!) in his dust. Great weather and we did get to drive home through Cwmystwyth and round the Elan Valley reservoirs on a perfect evening. Jon had to cycle to Tregaron, not quite sure whether he could get a place at the YHA. Text later said he had sorted himself out and would explain later......... ( I reckon he rode the couple of extra miles to Llandewi Brefi and stayed with the 'Only Gay in the Village')

This is quite an undertaking! You've been very unlucky with the weather so far, hope it clears up as you head for the Welsh mountains. Keep it up. Cheers, Simon (author of http://www.hill-bagging.co.uk)

Juggernaut Jonny - From: It's still raining
86 miles and three hills in one day! Well done so far. I love the stories about getting into people's back gardens, because its places you'd never otherwise think to go. Looking forward to you getting into some of the bigger stuff though.

Jonny, does this mean you've done the home counties now? i.e. not coming back down this way? Would be cool if you could keep a running list of the counties completed on the web page so we can keep track of where you've been.

Un-be-LIEVE-able - From: It's still raining
But what's the highest point in the Grove? Is it my bedroom in the 'Cot? Probably not, but if it is, I'm sure Fi and Gray will let you in to cycle round a bit - just watch out for my futon and the dodgy floorboards! I've said it before and I'll probably say it again, you're a bleedin' BISON! Completely in awe and full of so much respect for you (not that I wasn't before) what you're doing is absolutely amazing, has it been recognised as a record for the big book (not the bible)? Who presents that kids show now Roy Castle and Norris McWhirter are dead. Is it still Kris ('don't call me Chris') Akabusi? Awooga! Keep on keeping on mate - I'll sponsor you next week, after I've been paid (sob, sob etc etc etc!) Matt
