All thoughts in one Bethie and Rach,
So I just read the entire blog start to finish. You painted your entire trip so well, and I enjoyed every single word, picture, thought, inisght, story, and facts! I lived vicariously through you for the past 30 minutes, and it makes me itch to see more of the world. It's easy to get sucked into the day to day world and not even realize what else is out there to explore. THANK you for that reminder! I especially enjoyed the picture of Halong Bay (Beth, I'd like to frame a copy), the image of the Vietnamese boys taking pictures of Beth on the train, and Rach's great comment about, "life needs to exist as it is now back in NYC to full appreciate this kind of trip and traveling."
I'm in town next week for work on the night of the 4/10 and then we have reunion weekend- whoo hoo. I love you both and can't wait to see you soon.

procrastination! hey chicas! hopefully it will warm your heart to know that i'm at rachy's mom's house reading your blog to put off my homework...sounds like a blast! i'm so jealous i'm not out of the country!
Wow I can't believe how much you two are fitting into a day. I checked out the Victoria Hotel and it really looks lovely; good choice. I am remembering the manicure, pedicure and massage you had on the beach in Thailand - what a great trip that was for us. But this seems even more special. Keep having fun. Love.
Hahaha! Al and I definitely remember the "tour guides" in China! Forgot to tell you about that one ;)
Sounds like you two are having an amazing time. I love the pics and can't wait to see more! Keep having fun :)
so cute...I love the picture of the Vietnamese resting position...so true. And also the pee position on squat toilets! ha glad you guys liked this part of the trip, I did too.
Wonderful Thanks for the update. What you are doing is simply incredible and we are so happy you are enjoying everything. Seeing how people live in other parts of the world is such an invaluable education. Daddy and I are fine; the Komen Fundraising event was a great weekend with lots of money raised. But I am glad it is over. We head back to NJ this weekend and will miss both you and Rachel at the Seder table. Much love to you both, and keep the blog going; it's reassuring to know that you are both fine.
So glad you girls are having fun! I can't wait to hear all about your adventures verbally and see all the pics when you return to the states!!! Aren't you glad you went? Take full advantage of every opportunity!!! You probably won't be back in Vietnam again! Atleast not any time soon....... I miss you and love you Rach!!! xoxo
Did you say ambitious? Your schedule is VERY ambitious, but then again, you are both young and can definitely handle the pace. Oh, and you are both beautiful as well.....
I love reading your blog and knowing where you are at any given moment in time. Have fun.
Passport, where was the thing we bought for it? Hey, can't believe you almost lost it, especially since we made a special trip to buy that thing to put it in, ha, ha. Almost doesn't count, so glad to hear you're safe and sound, together, buddies, like hold each other's hands, like when you were little and had to find a partner to buddy up with on a trip. I love you, miss you, and continue to be so very excited for you both. Love, Mom/Ab xox Love, from Adam toooooooooo!
Airport Travel You and Beth are in the air, I just landed in Fort Lauderdale, and my luggage is lost, just waiting for the next flight from Philly, hoping my bag will be on it. While I'm sitting here, I just looked at Allison's lastest batch of photos and I'm picturing you and Beth on your adventure. Go safely, have fun, and enjoy:) Lots and lots and lots and lots of love, xox
Yay I'm so glad to see this trip is happening!! I can feel the anticipation in the air from Park City ha ha ha. Can't wait to see how it all unfolds. My travel adice...read Lonely Planet to get the lay of the land but talk to people to see whats the best stuff to do and no need to stay in places they recommend...normally they raise the prices and stop caring as much once they get written up and everyone flocks to their inns. Try lots of food and the rice whiskey! Also meet tons of international travelers and check out the markets...they are so cool. lots of love and best wishes,
Schwamee
